DJP3DRO (3:51:13 PM): He was in a picture on their main site, did you know that?
SugarMagnolia896 (3:51:42 PM): yeah his sister was sooooooooooo excited to tell me

1. She mentions Unfiction which is always ALWAYS meta
2. No way Darren Kroupa looks 22 or like a chemo patient (well kinda)
3. 22 and in Make-A-Wish? I may be mistaken, but that's way too old for MAW

Yeah, I admit my ignorance on a lot of things, so can anyone confirm this?

EDIT:

Quote:
DJP3DRO (4:01:45 PM): I'm afraid I have to leave, but I'll be checking back, is that okay?
SugarMagnolia896 (4:03:06 PM): yea sure. i wish there was some way i could contact the band u no

SugarMagnolia896 (4:03:38 PM): do they have email
DJP3DRO (4:04:04 PM): No, but they do have live web chats in their fan club.
SugarMagnolia896 (4:05:32 PM): idk what that is
DJP3DRO (4:06:15 PM): It's $25 for one year, but I think if you're really that desperate this is your last resource.
SugarMagnolia896 (4:06:27 PM): nah
DJP3DRO (4:06:58 PM): Well I have to go
SugarMagnolia896 (4:07:03 PM): cya

I'll gladly delete this post if I get some confirmation here.

Could be.....

http://www.wish.org/
Here is info from Make A Wish regarding age:
Quote:
The Make-A-Wish Foundation only grants wishes to children who have been referred to the organization and determined to be eligible for a wish before their 18th birthday by their physician. However, there are other wish-granting organizations that grant wishes to adults.

The Dream Foundation http://www.dreamfoundation.org/ grants wishes to terminally ill adults.

Yeah, I know about that image. He was also mentioned on Secure Broadcast Informatics. That's why I think it's a gamehack.

Quote:
SBI Lead Engineer Marty Chadwick was awarded a framed Certificate of Citizenship for 'providing information leading to the capture of notorious underground figure Darren Kroupa. 'Chadwick, who recognized Kroupa from his nightly perusing of the 1000 Most Wanted List, 'spotted the dissident at a local laundromat and stayed on the scene until police arrived. 'Bureau of Morality Deputy Chief Connie West called the collar, "a major blow for America." 'Kroupa, who rose from the music subculture to become a leading figure in the East Coast 'dissident scene, had been wanted on multiple charges stemming from an "underground
'concert series" as well as numerous other illegal activities.'

Perhaps this person, in his association with NiN, has been immortalized in the Year Zero universe as their gift to him.

melanieg8350 (3:16:48 PM): Hi I saw something you posted in the NIN forum - do you have a second?
DJP3DRO (3:17:06 PM): Sure, I got time.
melanieg8350 (3:17:22 PM): Remember how you wrote asking who was Darren Kroupa?
melanieg8350 (3:17:51 PM): And alot of people did ... he was in that picture?
DJP3DRO (3:18:00 PM): I know who he is. We've seen him before, yeah.
DJP3DRO (3:18:06 PM): Mentioned a few times too.
melanieg8350 (3:18:06 PM): No you guys don't know who he is
melanieg8350 (:18:22 PM): he is my family friends son - i just came back from his funeral
DJP3DRO (3:18:31 PM): Oh God I'm so sorry.
melanieg8350 (3:18:35 PM): i went to school with him - he passed away from cancer his last wish was to meet trent
melanieg8350 (3:19:08 PM): Its Ok - i just was like wow he is almost famous now too since he got to go out and meet trent
melanieg8350 (3:19:20 PM): http://www.thnt.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/B3/20070403/OBITUARIES/704030364/1069/OBITS
DJP3DRO (3:19:38 PM): Oh wow.
melanieg8350 (3:20:08 PM): yeah, its really sad, but going out to meet trent made him so happy
DJP3DRO (3:20:31 PM): See, forgive me, but since he was mentioned in the ARG (Alternate Reality Game) surrounding this new album a few times, we were a bit suspicious. We have had people make up stories to try and screw up the game before.
DJP3DRO (3:20:47 PM): Now that I have an obituary, I can show everyone he's real.
melanieg8350 (3:20:47 PM): No no i swearmelanieg8350 (3:21:01 PM): it is the truth
DJP3DRO (3:21:09 PM): I know, you just povided proof.
DJP3DRO (3:21:15 PM): Thank you.
DJP3DRO (3:21:49 PM): My heart and prayers are with you, I know what it's like to lose someone so close.
melanieg8350 (3:21:54 PM): your welcome - i didn't know how to post lol so i signed up and was like OH he has AIM let me tell him
DJP3DRO (3:22:18 PM): I'll get on spreading this right away.
melanieg8350 (3:23:30 PM): thank you - he loved NIN since third grade and there was a foundation that paid for the expenses assocaited with the trip, so when we saw him on the website, everyone was so happy
melanieg8350 (3:26:23 PM): Well I am going to go but thank you for spreading the word! I appreciate it
DJP3DRO (3:26:41 PM): You're welcome, I'm posting it on that forum right now.
DJP3DRO (3:26:55 PM): I'll also get it around some other NIN forums I know. Thanks for clearing this up.
melanieg8350 (3:27:14 PM): No problem, have a good day!
DJP3DRO (3:27:19 PM): You too!
melanieg8350 went away at 3:27:33 PM.

We have proof. That's such a nice thing for Trent to do, awwww.

If anyone who knew Darren is out there, I'm sorry I doubted you all. Smile
