There is a HUGE difference in population between the Grey and White districts as well as between male deaths(?).

Interesting that there's only one woman for every three men in both zones---and I thought the bar scene was tough now.

Also, it looks like the population in the White District is growing ("NEO ACTIV" > "DEACT"), while that in the Grey District is shrinking ("DEACT" > "NEO ACTIV").
Edit: fixed quoting

Not all deactivated profiles are dead, remember--anybody with Black karma has a deactivated account, and only a few of them (like Father Beck) are truly dead--the rest are merely Underground, living off the system.

Perhaps, but why the large difference between Grey and White Districts? I'm not talking about the raw numbers, but the percentage of the total.

I had an interesting exchange with Bishop. I mentioned in an interface forum that I would be willing to help wade through his pm's and followed it up with this:

Quote:
To Bishop: My forum offer was legit - I'd be happy to help sort through your messages.

He responded:
Quote:
Bishop says: Thanks for the assist offer by the way, but unfortunately You'd have to have at LEAST Grey Karma status to be eligible for me to apprentice you out. Copypaste me that offer in a few months.

fishing for more info I just sent this:
Quote:
To Bishop: Ok, tell me how to go Gray! (I'malready getting there in this time!) And if you can't, I'll hold you to that "few months" thing! Provided we haven't solved all the problems before then.

So either way we can look forward to a "few months" of play left. Either the end will be reached or an entirely new thing will happen. I don't think any of the present day agents have gone white, black or gray. It's either green-blue or red-yellow.

I don't think any of us have either.

Might be red in the game, but hey, if I can get a different color, I'm all there. I like gray (favorite color Very Happy ) but if I could go white, that'd be cool too. Or black... though that wouldn't bode well for a current red, would it???

Anyway, Bishop hasn't responded to me yet Sad Guess he doesn't like evil slimy Reds, but I had asked about 2 things. Anyone else want to give it a shot?

1. About his perception of Kropp (funny enough, after I asked, a few days later the article about him going to the "highest bidder" was there. Think that might be it?)
2. If Sawyer wears a trench and fedora ( I couldn't resist)

I've just messaged Bishop asking about Senators Mercer and Wright and their "sensitive allegations"; if I actually get a reply from him in the next half century, I'll send him your queries as well, just in case being a granny smith agent scores points with him.

Bishop can't stand Kropp. We had that conversation before. I offered all my creds to put a hit out on hima dn Bishop just laughed. Let me see if I can piece it all together for ya:

Quote:
To Bishop: Hi there!!! I've missed talking with you my future friend! I'm kinda curious- what do you think of Kropp's "promotion"? I really wish I could just beat him up.... well, maybe if my future self is in Deus City I could. He treated the Grey District like crap and I grew up in Cleveland OH- which is kinda like the Grey District by the sound of it. So I don't like him. Ok, enough rambling!!!!

Quote:
Bishop says: Don't get me started... Sawyer and I are so mad at those nosy reds right now and the apparent lull from the TIA that I'm just about ready to hack Kropp's autocar and have it drive him over the edge of a bridge... assuming that were even possible. Uh... yea.

Quote:
To Bishop: Hmmm, i like you even more!!!! I have about 14600 credits, will that be enough for you to do it??? LOL i'm kidding, of course!

Quote:
Bishop says: You crack me up!

Quote:
To Bishop: I try Bishop, I try!!! So why is Kropp pissing you and Sawyer off? Plese tell me it's not because of my running my mouth about his stupidity on the forum. I'd hate for me to be the cause of him annoying you.

Quote:
Bishop says: Kropp is a thorn in our side... he tends to take credit for our work and Sawyer lets him. I'm better now, but I was pretty mad the other day. Thanks for listening and letting me vent!

Does that explain it?

Ah, yes, that helps with the Kropp question. Thanks taurean!

Now if someone can tell me about Sawyer, both questions will be answered Very Happy

You guys might like this Very Happy

Bishop says: Sawyer finally checked his mail.. he says "Kropp is an ass"... and yea he wears em both... How'd you know?

By "both" that'd be the trench and fedora, lol.

Re: Sniffing in Grey District video

LuxCal wrote:
I did a quick search through the various threads here, and didn't find anything, so...

Did anyone notice that someone was apparently "eavesdropping" (I'm not sure what the IG word would be) on the "Welcome to Grey District" video? At 1:02 in the video, "Unlicensed Sniffer Detected" shows up in red letters at the bottom of the screen. At 2:25, "Fine Assessed: GD118429-4PI" appears. Then, at 2:54, "Fine Debited - Thank You" shows up in green.

I sent a message to Bishop asking about this, and about who GD118429-4PI was. His response:

Quote:
Bishop says: last message concerns me... what can you tell me about "sniffing"?

Edit: I should read my own writing. Apparently, the IG word is "sniffing"...

So I answered Bishop, and described ethernet packet sniffing in a general way, and he came back with the following:

Quote:
Bishop says: GD118429-4PI is um... sort of me. Sort of.

So, what's happening here? He's sniffing his own feed? Or is it that by using multiple cameras for his feed (some from his handheld device, some from some other camera mounted nearby) he is creating the illusion of sniffing on the signal?

I haven't responded yet, but I'd like to find out what's going on here. Perhaps someone is spoofing his ID chip...?

Bishop and Sawyer share the same Deus City ID #, at least at times. We don't know why, we don't know how. But that's his "uhm, sort of".

Ah. This is not worth pursuing, then (IG, at least)?

Oh, it's very much worth pursuing for the "why" and "how" unanswered questions. Not necessarily pressing, as I can't see that coming to head until at least the Sawyer/Kropp disdain explodes, but very worth pursuing.

/me puts his 2cents in

On a completely different note, a while ago I messaged Bishop this long post about several topics. I lost the message sadly. One topic was about how different times and ages could mean that I could possibly be Bishop's father, then another I talked briefly of Star Wars and asked if he'd heard about it. Thus I got this response:

Quote:
Bishop says: NO its not true! That's impossible! Noooo!!!

(Actually Sawyer told me to say that, and now he's laughing his ass off... care to explain or should I assume you guys are mocking me?)

I clarified the quote and asked him to watch the Star Wars Movies and tell me what he thought of them. That was about a week ago and I haven't got a response yet.
