Yeah, I struggled to find one too the best I got was the software that simulates a T52d, I haven't tried it yet but it might be worth a shot.

This idea of the Enigma machine is interesting me since those ten numbers showed up again. I'm also reminded of the numbers from Lost. Maybe I should play the lottery?
If TV/Movies/Video Games/Popular culture have taught me anything, it's this: Don't play the numbers, and don't go to Silent Hill.

The odds of that ten-digit string (VLXQNPVEKZ) repeating at random are about 1:140 trillion. The only way that cipher could come from the T52 is if the operator reset the machine midstream, which would be both incredibly bad practice and very annoying in an ARG. I'd recommend looking for a simpler technique, though I can't find anything myself.

I didn't realise the odds were that high.
Plus after getting to use that simulator I don't think those roman numerals can correspond to the rotor settings, unless I'm just a total klutz and can't use it.
I guess this qualifies as Metagame thinking... and I know it's discouraged but I wonder how the PM in this case is keeping track of Arnold's progress? Unless they're monitoring Unforums that is. Although that code might reveal a website or some form of contact with the PM. Otherwise they'd have no idea whether the code had been broken yet or not.

If the PM is anyone from my current list of suspects, they're definitely lurking here.

Well, I kinda exaggerated. It's probably closer to 100 billion. The figure I gave was for that exact match, rather than for any ten-digit repetition.

Bum-bum-BUM!
I've been working at it, but I've still got nothing for you, Arnold. Did the name Jake mean anything to you?

How about a 13-letter cycle? I noticed that if I just added one place-holder dot, a lot of stuff aligns again after 39 letters
Code:
GEUQQLH.DDRKVLXQNPVEKZIKGSKHNULSLGETULL
|--||||--|--||||||||||--
GMGQQLHLPDZWVLXQNPVEKZAY
or breaking it up, they could be in 13-letter rows:
Code:
GEUQQLH.DDRKV
LXQNPVEKZIKGS
KHNULSLGETULL
GMGQQLHLPDZWV
LXQNPVEKZAY
Yeah, i don't know what to do with it either, but I thought it was handy to display it this way.

It's my name.
Good news, though. I thought I was going to have work tonight and Friday and a birthday party on Thursday, but I have tonight free. So I'll be working on this until Lost comes on. Here's to some answers.

There is The Siemens and Halske T52d Cipher Machine simulator online at
http://www.math.utoledo.edu/~codentha/Cryptanalysis/crypt_machs/T52D-SIM/
I haven't gotten it to come up with anything yet, but there seems to be a couple more enigma machines in the parent directories.

AHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! So apparently there's an Enigma sim in the CipherClerk's Applet deal from the Online Tools page of UF. I first put in the longer string with the numbers and got

Gibberish. I was pretty disappointed. But see the tildes and the brackets? It gave me an idea, so I used the other code with the computer symbols. It yielded the following:

I don't know where exactly that is just yet, but it's a quick address lookup away. I'm not sure I really want to go there.

You live in that neighborhood? It's next to the Diamondbacks Ballpark.

Oooh, what are the odds on the other half of the code giving instructions for finding a locker or something? Or has the USA gone the same way as the UK and removed such things from public stations now?
