police have new suspect........IRIS

Pam,

The police were here this morning. I do not know, but I think I am in
trouble. They seem unwilling or unable to understand that psychics
have visions. They interviewed me for hours, Pam! They want to know what else I know and how I know it. They want me to name names, but I don't know any names!

I am so upset. One of the officers, a small, squat man with squinty
eyes got right into my face and said that he does not believe in psychic stuff. He said that he personally would make sure that the truth comes out and I am exposed. I promise you, Pam, I am not the one who did this! You have to believe me. I thought James would haul off and hit the guy, so Chris dragged him from the room, an action that did not go unnoticed. Pam, what if they think the boys did the tossing and I am just trying to cover for them? What am I going to do? I have no proof that I am not involved. How exactly do I prove it to them?

Iris

Easy enough. Have the guys *and Phyllis* give separate statements, since they were all there the night Iris had her vision. With the cameras and equipment and such, they should have enough documentation to prove something happened at the same time Iris "saw" whatever she saw.

Quote:
When we returned to the Lake in the evening, we convinced Phyllis to come out with us. I think it does the woman good to get away from that house of hers and into the open air. We arrived around dusk and began to unload cameras, EM equipment and so on. There were far fewer people around than earlier in the day, just a group or two here and there as well as a few fishermen in boats out on the water. At first I could not pick up even the faintest of impressions and we decided to just scout out a good location to set up the equipment and wait for night to fall. The boys
had seen a fairly secluded spot earlier in the day, so we set up everything there and settled in. Phyllis began to tell me about her thoughts and feelings and I will admit that discussing her marriage made me uncomfortable. I have never been married and could not relate to what she was saying.

As Phyllis tried to suck us into conversation in between the periods of
awkward silence, I again felt the sadness from earlier, but there was also something else, a darkness or shadow that was not there before. It felt as if it was buried deep within the lake or perhaps below the earth. I could hear Chris and James reacting as the EM sensors began to pick up small abnormalities in the area. Time passed and it finally got very dark, the only light visible was emanating from the equipment. Tonight the sky was very overcast. No stars were visible and the moon was so muted
by the cloud cover as to be virtually invisible. Lights could be seen moving here and there along the lake as well as in the parking lot.

I think Phyllis was bored because she kept shifting and sighing and finally she rose to her feet and walked a few steps to look at something or other. As I watched her, I got the dizzying sensation of being in two places at one time and looked back toward the lake. This vision started with a couple of dark figures moving at the edge of the water. I could tell it was not the same night because the sky was full of stars and the moon was shining brightly overhead. As I watched, the men struggled
towards the edge of the lake, carrying a heavy burden between them. One of them kept looking around as they moved, turning his head this way and that. When they got to the edge they start to sway in rhythm before suddenly heaving the bundle into the lake. I had to bite my lip to keep from crying out when I realized that the bundle was man shaped, though wrapped in some kind of covering. I heard one voice say, "You
sure that's deep enough there? Maybe we should get a boat or . . . ." Another voice answered, "Relax, man. You think I'm stupid or sumthin? This is a crater lake, man, and that's a deep spot there. Now let's get the hell out of here."

Phyllis doesn't want guard dog, would rather have Valas

Misha posted this over at CD:

Whether you thought I was a fake or not is moot at this point. I hope that by
now, everyone understands that I am for real and I am here working for the light.
You mention that we should always remain skeptical of our own abilities and I could
not agree with you more. Too often what we wish to have happen will distort our
senses to such an extent that we are not able to clearly see what Spirit is saying
to us. Such is the human condition, I fear.

I am not ready to say what I believe happened to Mr. Willingham. I do not, personally,
believe he was in a freezer. Somehow that just seems too much like a movie to me.
And the Don, well, he is a very complex man and I am not willing to say that he
is completely evil. No one, as far as I have ever known, is completely evil. He
may be involved in evil doings, but I believe that even the most corrupt can find
goodness within their souls and reach some sort of salvation.

Yes, there was a body. Unfortunately, the police spent many an hour
questioning me about what I know and how I know it. Stupid yokel cops. Don't
they realize that had I actually participated in the crime, I would certainly not
have brought myself to their attention? I swear, someone needs to buy them a clue
for Christmas. Maybe you can all start a collection for that, huh?

Anyway, I just have to tell you that your ideas are among the best I have read
so far. It is interesting to get a read from someone who is distant and not directly
involved. I wish I could verify your ideas, but right now I just cannot.

Oh, I mentioned your idea of getting a guard dog to Phyllis and I have to tell
you that she just about flipped. She said (and I quote): Yuck! You want me to get
a stinky, slobbery, flea-ridden creature who will shed hair everywhere, knock valuables
off of tables with its tail, and have to be taken on long walks in the dark? No way!
Not worth the trouble. I'd rather hire a young body guard like Valas.

Iris

Dear Pam,

Well, of course we told them all we knew, but sometimes it is easier to
grasp at the first available suspect even when there are others who are much more likely. As for the Don, he seems to be good at keeping his hands clean. I suppose when you have plenty of people willing to dirty their hands, why would you bother doing it yourself?

I do have a funny feeling about the Don, but am not able to pin it down
yet. Unfortunately, if they wanted to pin it on someone who just arrived in town, they would have to look at hundreds of people. This town has been swamped with media, law enforcement and curious sightseers. Don't forget that Mr. Sprague is still missing. I think they are looking at him more and more, after all, he was very suspicious to begin with.

Proof of innocence.. an unshakable alibi...

Unfortunately that will not prove her innocence.... but could provide the police with the proof it was pre-meditated murder.
Iris did spend some time by herself, just before or just after the excursion to the Lake didn't the boys go out without her, looking for the Jersey Devil, and wasn't she alone in the B&B ..... with no one but a DEG to see her?
