 		 AIM-Sandwich Cancellor
ARG? No idea... I'm too new at this to be getting trailheads...
Well, I hope it's appropriate for me to be making a thread about this, I just feel out of my depth here. Just heard of ARG's the day before yesterday, and haven't had a chance to read much more than, like, the basics and the glossary. But, it would APPEAR, to my untrained eye, that I'm getting trailheads (rabbit holes? I forgot) through AIM. Funny ones, too. Sandwiches? Laughing

Got this last night:

MeJaimieMe: nope
cancel sandwich: as I predicted...
cancel sandwich: I'm assuming everything is going as planned though
MeJaimieMe: are you asking me?
cancel sandwich: however, I was told you had something to give me. Is this true?
MeJaimieMe: i have no idea who you are or what cancelling sandwiches means or what the heck is going on
MeJaimieMe: so no
cancel sandwich: ah, that seems to be correct according to my notes
cancel sandwich: may I contact you in the future?
MeJaimieMe: sure i guess
cancel sandwich: excellent

 		What makes you think this is an ARG?

*konamouse thinks a friend of yours is playing a trick on you.

Typically a new ARG isn't launched by AIM to a random person who is "new" to ARGs....unless you have a friend that is starting an ARG and you are an accompli sh ce.

Sorry, but I am a bit jaded and suspicious of GAIMs (ARGs that have been started by AIM contact from unknown person). There are many examples of implosions and other disapointments in the archives.

 		I agree whole heartedly with Kona accept for her use of "accomplish" instead of "accomplice" Twisted Evil

Playing devils advocate, however, I'm kind of glad this was taken out of "analysis" just because I couldn't stop laughing over the AIM... "cancel the sandwich" - that's just beautiful, it has John Cleese written all over it. I'd love for it to be real, but as I'm not much of a messenger person I can't give it a shot...

Ah, I see what you are saying. But I doubt it's a friend of mine, as they barely IM me as themselves. Sad Let alone as some sort of sandwich thingy... no, this really doesn't seem like them. It is probably a trick, though, just by a stranger. I thought it was an ARG, mostly because a)I couldn't think of anything else it could likely be, and b)I got ARGs on the mind, lately. Very Happy
