Similar to Lovek, I am on the road for at least another month. New Mexico is on my way and I would be happy to swing up to the library. I am not a student but I am a fantastic fast talker.

Incidentally. We should probably move on this lead as quickly as possible. If anyone in the area can they should go for it. If I have not heard anything from anyone by the time I in that area I will probably go ahead and try to. Since it seems to actually be present in the library it is entirely possible that someone unassociated with the game could randomly find it and keep it or throw it away or anything.

Just to let you all know, the Zimmerman Library is open to the public, but if you're not a student there, you have to pay a hefty fee to check out books. I'm currently enrolled at UNM even though I take its classes at my high school, so if there is some sort of new security in place I should be able to get past it. Even if that means renewing my student ID card.

Wolfhawk, I hope you get a response from the library. That could prove to be very helpful.

So go go go! EVen if we do not the lead is for sure, you should check it out. Like I said, the longer we wait the more likely it is that the page will up and disappear. :p

Got a response from Zimmerman Library:

Quote:
Hi Pam,

Sounds like an interesting game! The public is allowed in
Zimmerman library during our operating hours--if you want
to check out materials it would cost 30 dollars for a
community borrower's card--browsing the stacks is free,
though. Unless the item you are looking for is in our
special collections department (which is not in the
Northwest corner of the building so that shouldn't be a
problem), you should be able to find what you are looking
for.
Our hours for the spring are:
Monday - Thursday, 8am-11:30pm
Friday, 8am-8:30pm
Saturday, 9:30am-5:30pm
Sunday, 10:30am-11:30pm

Good luck!

Sarah
Zimmerman Library Reference

So whoever can get there, go for it!!!!!!

Ok, I realise that I'm not really a tCoSA-er and all. But I'd been talking to Ethan about the folio before it was officially released. I'd been asking him about the pages and maybe some help. I know all this info OOG, but none of it IG. Here's his response, it is IG. You guys can now see why I asked awhile ago about getting this info IG

Hello there! I just got back from a rather taxing travel to make contact with someone from the Committee. With all the attention from you-know-who I can't exactly just swing by their homes and have a nice chat and a cup of tea so even a short face-to-face is quite an ordeal.

The important thing is that I have some information that might be helpful to you: my contact from the Committee delivered to me a list of the clues they have regarding the location of the folio pages in the southwest. From what she told me, the person who was holding the page (pages?) got pretty skittish and was less that clear about the exact location of the drop. I'm not sure if the Committee already gave to you and your team all of these bits of information, but it is worth a comparison. Tell me what you know about the location and I will see if there is anything I can add. From what I am looking at I would be very impressed if you were able to get a clear picture of the drop location. Why can't people just tell you a piece of information? Why all the mystery?!?

_E

So people contact me so I can return an email to Ethan!

I got a copy of this sent to me too - I had e-mailed him yesterday to make him aware of a few things, and to ask a few obligatory questions trying to gain as much info as possible.

I have hit him back with what I know IG, I suspect that along the way, one of the following things have happened.

1) One or more players, have dropped out.
2) The postal service, has upkept their fabulous record for not losing mail. (In the UK, it is claimed approx 1,000,000 items get "lost" each week!!
3) Someone is holding back - (Have to be honest - I was when I first begun - but have mellowed out somewhat since then!!!)

Just a thought Taureanfreak, but I read his mail as a "Tell me what you got so far ....... and I'll try and fill in the blanks for you" - but that may just be how I chose to read it!!

The only clues I know about are those listed in the first page of this thread.

Chat and E-mails with Ethan
Missing Clues

Hi All,

It seems that I may have been right with my last posting, for whatever reason, but chatting with and mailing Ethan has produced results.

Ethan is very excited by our progress so far and has managed to talk to his contact and obtain the clues that we were missing. He states that they have all come from the same family of clues, (a photocopy of "which appeared to be several strips of paper, each with one phrase on it"), and therefore believes that they must all be related to this one page that we seek.

The missing clues are:
1) The holder speaks of the poisoner angel.
and,
2) Much more than an overture, the holder wears sixfourtwopas.

I have already sent a couple of messages through the system, to those I have been advised I can share them with in the IG sense, (you know who you are!!), and I hope that the format of the message lets them know, that we need to chat!! (Failing which, they'll probably peep at this post and then contact me!!).

I had come up with a theory which seemed to fit all the clues, but alas, it did not seem to pan out, I was told not to discount it though, so either that theory has some merit but the links to the clues that I stated are wrong, or I have made connections where none exist!! (and I'd worked so hard on them too!!).

The alternative here is that, the meaning of some of the clues that I stated are correct, but the overall conclusion that I arrived at was wrong?

Quote:
-no no, I do not know any more than you
-your theory seems to have merit, but i must say that it isn't air tight
-some thin connections, but connections none the less
..... (some bits cropped)
-but your theory seems most interesting
-don't discount it

I was also told a few other things that are not related to the page, but were very interesting, but that is not for this post.

Happy Hunting,

Brum

EDIT to add:
It was brought to my attention that the above, looks like I am holding back on my theory, this is not the case! I will gladly post what I had thought a little later, but I did not want to derail people from their own lines of investigation, and jump on mine to try and firm up or prove the links or conclusion I reached, (which may not be correct in the slightest).

(I just didn't have enough time to go through posting all the connections that I had made, I am fighting a 90 minute window to get to the shops and back before the wife and kids get back screaming for food!!!)

Brum, I technically have no IG knowledge. That's my problem. I heard a rumor about tCoSA and Ethan told me about the folio pages in general. So you see my problem. I can tell him nothing, since technically i know nothing! Smile

My Theory

As Promised - below is a copy of the e-mail I sent to Ethan.

Quote:
Ethan,

Adam has advised me to share the findings with:
"the more trusted ones that we can share this info with the better - so long as the enemy doesn't beat us to the punch."
and in a previous message had stated:
"Something does not add up, and I worry that our information is getting into the wrong hands."

I believe that the two additional clues you provided yesterday, held all the additional information we needed to determine the location, that Trusted Hands A secreted the page.
Adam did not confirm or reject my theory, so hope that I have not delayed too long, or caused any delays, which may prove costly.

The following is my conclusion, an extract of the message that I sent to Adam yesterday:
3) I have, over the last couple of days, been communicating with Ethan. I have received a further two clues regarding the search for the page in the midwest, and believe I may have discovered where exactly the folio fragment is hidden. My only problem now, is knowing who to entrust with this information, to ensure that the page does not end up in the wrong hands. I believe that the page is hidden in the Nag Hammadi Library (collection of twelve codices, there are actually thirteen, but "The so-called "Codex XIII" is in fact not a codex, but rather the text of Trimorphic Protennoia, written on "... eight leaves removed from a thirteenth book in late antiquity and tucked inside the front cover of the sixth." ), in the Zimmerman Library, on the student campus of the University of New Mexico. From what I have found out, I believe that what we seek, will be inserted in Codex II (two).
===> I should mention, that these are replicas/facsimilies/translations of the original texts, which are housed in the Coptic Museum in Cairo, Egypt, and are rumoured to have had their origin in the 3rd and 4th centuries.

From my investigations, the above theory fits with all the clues that we have regarding this page. If you wish, I can expand the theory, and reference it to the clues, but haven't in this message in the interest of expedience.

Unfortunately, as you undoubtedly remember from our previous exchanges, I am based in the UK and so personal retrieval is unfortunately out of the question.

I would ask you, if you agree with my findings, and using your knowledge of agents geographical locations, could you recommend a couple of agents whose loyalty is beyond doubt, keeping in mind Adam's warning, to collect this page for us?

Alternatively, do you wish to inform somebody of my findings and instruct them to collect the page instead?

I await your reply,

Brum

For the record, got to this collection of books, solely through trawling the net in respect of the "poisoner angel" (sarcasm intended - only one hit on google!!!) - which I have found and followed the reference to Samael. Back to wikipedia, and the real reading began.

Lots of stuff jumps out at you due to possible ties to DC!! (I'm sure you'll agree this seems to be the expanded version of the second folio page?) - Inevitably, following every link as you read through it for the second time, and that's where I got this collection of books from.

OK - I have a plan if you want to be recruited in the IG sense??

notgordian knows already, and now I am saying it here, I was the "elated agent" that the "Deus City Bank Gives Another Credit Break" article quoted. (I really did laugh when I saw that news article as they had quoted a bug report that I had submitted with the "details changed" parts referring to my suspicions on the fault!!! I had considered sending them a thanks by way of another bug report - and I may have done? - I honestly cannot remember as I had a massively long time without sleep due to a very tight deadline at work, but if I didn't - I hope they see it here).

You will also notice that I posted in the forum, and the general undertone that is contained in it. I figure you sending me a message through the system mentioning the missing details, or in other words, sending me a copy of the message but filling in the blanks, and observing what has changed, will get you noticed by my character!

I figure then, staying in character for a while, I get you background checked and cleared, and voila!! Not sure how I manage to get you background checked as yet though, as not got a great relationship with my handler, due to a heavy handed technique I used to get him to do something for me a while back, and he has been very quiet lately.
