that page is really a frame containing another website:
http://follow-me.110mb.com/
in the source is a comment:
The Adventure Begins Feb 1 2007
I guess we'll know more then.

Can someone rename this thread with something a little more descriptive than just "anyone seen this before?"
It has a website and launch date....so to make it easier to find, maybe a mod or the original poster can modify the Subject in the first post?
Thanks.

This does seem awfully close to PXC for it to be coincidence. Cubes aren't just something you go around leaving on the bus. Especially in the UK. (Plus that quick shot of what appeared to me to be a skyline reminds me of some of the early PXC promotional stuff.)
In any case, do you reckon there's any significance in the initial "somewhere in the uk" text descrambling from something made entirely of the letters D, u, r, m and h? (At least, that's all the letters that I spotted, anyway.)

Also, does anyone want to decompile that flash? There might be sweet candy hidden inside. I'd do it... if I knew how.

nope, nothing special in the flash. Just footprints left from the software used to create it. The 'video' is just a set of frames. No hidden or anything.

Even weirder, because normally when you decompile the flash u get the original files (objects) and scripts, e.g- each text , picture objects etc.
If as you say Bruce, it decompiles a series of frames, then this is unusuall, and means that the authour must have did it this way on purpouse.
When you got the frames, what was the sillouette that flashes up?

sothink swf decompiler.
It shows all the objects and scripts and such.
It has the ability to export to FLA, but you don't need to to see the contents. It doesn't show specific frame data, just what the frames look like after the objects have been composed.
There is a font, and there are numerous text entries. Each frame places those text items (each letter is an instance) in their places. They're not symbols with frames in themselves - the letters don't change, just their layout within each frame.
But note - the very first visible frame in the flash looks like it says "Durham" before the letters shift to "Somewhere in the UK..."

The .tk site is actually a mirror of the real site located at
www.follow-me.co.uk
The .tk site just links to this site and pus it in a frame to hide the real details. It looks as if the site is live now also, and looks quite cool.

Pretty fancy website and forum. Looks like another UK treasure hunt.

Got registered... figured "What the hell! We can hunt for another cube!"
So far, I'm not impressed. Might be the lack of registered users so far, but it might also be all the issues with logging in and popup blockers and forum issues, etc.
Guess I'll just sit back and wait until things get moving. Not like I'm running to the UK to find a cube or a sphere or a pyramid or any other gimmick shape anyway.
What happened with the old fashion treasure hunt. Just put the friggin money in the ground and let someone find it. Geez! Pirates wouldn't go to all this trouble. (But Ninjas might!)
