OK,

For those of you made the ship with link that I gave, it should look pretty much like the photos we see posted. One interesting aspect of this is that the "Pirate Code" sits nice and parallel across "the mast"- AND isn't it ironic that it resembles coords.

I have tried plugging them in a few times to no avail but, I was also having issues getting my original pirate code into my registration. My wife picked up the maps so, I don't know if these numbers cycle or, are unique. I know last years numbers recycled every 12 or 16 numbers (something like that).

I have 12858424 and 12858425 on our maps. Are you guys seeing something close to that? If these numbers are cycling then there's no reason others couldn't use the same code to continue playing. They would just need to get their hands on one of those maps before the end.

I'm continuing to play with my little origami ship and let you know if I find anything...

Let's keep this forum pointed at the puzzle solve and PM stuff like this...

I apologize but the moderator in me is coming out (Carrot distinctly said he/she got those pics from another forum.)

Pirate Code
Numbers

My pirate code has the same first 4 numbers but the last 4 are way lower.
Looks like Volvo had these printed sequencially.

You can call a dealership ask for a pirate code and then have them mail it to you.

I did that last year.

Here are my thoughts....

Q: Imagine making a boat out of paper. How do you do that?
A: By folding it.

Q: ...make use of the lines drawn on it.
A: When you do fold it, fold along the lines.

SUMMARY: You are going to need to fold the paper along one or more of the lines...not necessarily into an oragami boat. I think this is just to get you to start folding. And since there are light lines and dark lines, it may be a "fold away" puzzle--like when you fold a dollar bill in half and change George Washington's head into a mushroom.

In addition, I think the email clue is telling us two things: one, that the skull has something to do with "as far as I can see;" and two, that a mirror will be used.

I don't think there is a raft in the double boat picture. It just appears that way because the waveline is conjoined. I don't think Primo and Segundo necessarily have to do with the order of folding...they may instead be directions for a two part clue, ie: the skull and the ships---like, use the line of sight on this line, and use the mirror on that line.

Don't take this as gosple, please. I am just tossing my thought process out there in hopes it sparks something. Either that or maybe it will get The Voice to comment further on his solve. Heh.

Well I've made a couple coppies of my map, so I don't ruin my original one

But I noticed that the pictures of the parchment on both sides of the page are the same picture, like they're the same piece of parchment.

Also...on the volvo side there's a faint red line running vertical, that matches up with a line on the chart side...like the parchment it'self has already been folded.

Has anyone tried cutting the parchment out??
