Possibly that the king is sometimes referred to as a suicide king?

I don't know, I haven't read the main topic about the cards.

Actually, the King of Hearts is sometimes referred to as the suicide king due to the illusion that he is sticking his sword into his head. Smile

Interesting

The King of Diamonds is armed with an ax while the other three kings are armed with swords. The King of Diamonds is sometimes referred to as "the man with the ax" because of this.

Sorry i havent been very invovled guys..i just started last week and Thursday my harddrive died.

Anyway..
It seems the only clues we are getting are through PMs from the Cm and Tom Cesear. I think we might just need to ask the right questions. Also maybe for thoes of you that recived a PM from TDC with the card, maybe we need to analise that a bit more.
Anyway i havent got a clue on what to do. So if anyone has anything to investigate ill do it.

That is absolutely right. Just be careful what you say or what you ask, for your own "safety". Also, TDC is not acknowledging the CM and vice versa.

Well, Let's break the letter down.

Here's the letter he wrote me for an Example.
Quote:
Hello ForeverMourn,

I already know more about you than you think, as I've already demonstrated.

I think he is referring to the previous puzzle, where he quoted my MySpace Comments. (He did his "homework" on us-- our turn, I'm sure.)

Quote:

You, on the other hand, know nothing about me. You may think you do, but you don't.

I often referred to TDC as my "Cher", French for "Dear". But In French, you would only write "Cher" if you knew the person well. I don't think I know anything about him, I just don't meet Enemies, hence my "Cher".

Quote:
Now I'm giving you the chance to change that:

GHORGBZPRFRNELBHGUVEGRRAQ

Whoops. Wait a Second, Renee. Slow Down-- The code GHORGBZPRFRNELBHGUVEGRRAQ is A Rot-13 for tubetomcesearyouthirteend

Quote:
This code is very powerful. Be VERY careful who you show it to. This code is like a master key - it can unlock many doors for you, but you have to find them first.
I'm assuming that we weren't supposed to solve the letter yet. I think he was keeping with his own timeline. So, now we have to find our "Doors". YouTube? FlickR?

Here is the first door:

This is where we are "what the eff now?"

King-diamonds = Cesar in the French deck. I don't think the pic is stegged. And yes I tried "GHORGBZPRFRNELBHGUVEGRRAQ" as the password. Didn't work.

The rest is up to you. If you do well, we'll talk again.

TDC

Talk again On TDC's YouTube, perhaps?

Maybe that will spark something with someone.

EDIT- I fixed the pieces I screwed up last night. Hardy Har Har.

I broke the letter down in my previous post. Here is the letter in full.

Does that help you, Dustin?

Wait a sec-- haven't we seen this before? Of course we have. Smile It was the keyword in solving Michaels Letter to Andrew.

Of course, we solved the letter with bruteforce, so I assume that we weren't supposed to solve the letter yet. Which is why TDC kept saying, "You don't know how powerful this letter is, yet." I think he was keeping with his timeline. And this is why he says "Master Key".

I dont think this is quite right. The code from Rogi was HIPSHCAQSGSOFMCIHVWFHSSBR and it was from a code breaking program not brute force.

I agree it was prolly solved a bit quicker than they wanted.

The code GHORGBZPRFRNELBHGUVEGRRAQ rot 13s (or brute force) to tubetomcesearyouthirteend

I guess im going to have to spend 20$ on this stinking program so I can just convince myself nothing is there. Ima look again for a free one but ....

Each ARG should come with a mentor for us newbs so we can get a bit of help here and there.

Llama, ThX For Correcting me, lol, I got my strings mixed up. It's fixed.

And DeStegging(Or UnCamoing) is fairly simple to do-- with the right password. I don't think it's Stegged. For realz, y0.

Ok, It's nothing of importance I'm sure, but Michaels Step-Daughter's name is Kimberly. I only wanted to know to add her name to the diagram-- he was kinda late.

EDIT
There's no way we can solve this Pedigree right now. "Atmytime Atmypace" makes me wonder if we REALLY can't solve it right now. Not until the CM unleashes the rest of his information.

Puzzle Spec- Do you think the Taylors are on the original Pedigree? Michael did give us a big overview of his LARGE family. I don't see them fitting on the puzzle, unless Kimberly is not listed on the pedigree. What do you think?

I don't mind checking at all. I would very much like to see a message come from this pic, I just don't see it happening. *Boo* LoL.

I tried these a sec ago:
7517134@N06
N06 & NO6 as well
the die has been cast
The die has been cast.
congratulations
todayisyourday
isyourday

Still nothing.

I did notice around Febuary(I think) we got a FlickR url (From Michael I believe) with some pictures of "13" and some sort of message (I can't think of what it translated to right now), I remember the FlickR url was similar to 7517134@N06. So I think the url link was automatically generated.

EDIT- The link I was referring to was: http://www.flickr.com/photos/59192082@N00/

A Little Contribution......

I've been intrigued and lurking a bit in this ARG...and have a lot of background in cards and card history.....one thing that may put an interesting perspective on the King of Diamonds image is not necessarily it's connection to the french deck but to the tarot. The KD translates to the King of Cups.
Some quick connections..."one who has accomplished a lot in life and has arranged his or her affairs so that he has much good to show for it. Possessing a practical genius in the ways of the world, he loves to build things. Because he's so good at deal-making, this character is privy to the biggest deals in town. He has the power to make or break people financially. Although this does not always win him love, it certainly earns him respect"
Also: "He is a teacher and way-shower who guides his students with loving attention. He cares about others sincerely and always responds to their needs with compassion. He heals with a gentle touch and a quiet word. He is calm and relaxed in all situations, seeming to know intuitively what is called for at any moment."

Maybe the CM has a slightly 'different view' of loving attention, but with only a slight twist most of this seems applicable. May be a bit of a stretch though..

For more info, two things worth reading are:
http://tarot.com/show_daily_card.php?explicit_card=77&explicit_deck=63
and

Back to the shadows!
