I got mine too! Contents same as above, with this message on the back of the Jiffy bag:
Quote:
COMING
OUT
TO PLAY?
Bishop County
SUMMER 2007
Do you suppose we're meant to share the mobile numbers we've been given? Not that it'd do much good - I've dug out an old handset, and can't get any coverage at home. I'll take it out with me later to see if I get any reception elsewhere.

Damn, I didnt re register my new sim with the 89892 service. Better do that now, and cancel it from my other phone!
It might be a good idea to share the phone numbers at some point, maybe when the game gets into the swing of things? I dont see it hurting any.

Pffft....... SIM card seems to be knackered I've tried it in 3 other handsets, and it still doesn't work. I've emailed O2 to see what they say about it, in case they need to press some magic button somewhere.

Damn! Did you pay to top up too?! Maybe they will send you another one, or give you a refund.

Nope, haven't topped up yet. Just got as far as putting the card in the phone, and nothing else.
I'd guess that if it's faulty, they'll just replace it. But then what happens about the number? Presumably the sender of the SIM cards knows the numbers and will need them for whatever they plan to do later. So who should I tell if I get a new one, and how? Or should I contact them first to see what they want me to do about it?

I dont think it will matter, when I first posted about the sim card, I got an email from the PM asking me to give them the phone number etc, so if you just email your new number, Im sure it will be fine

I've got to the bottom of this now. O2 have replied to my query thus
Quote:
Thanks for replying with the SSN we asked for, to check why you're having problems using your SIM card.
Your SIM card (07999 602 527) was disconnected, as it wasn't activated within the first three months of purchase. It's not possible for us to reconnect this SIM card.
So, assuming it needs to be an O2 SIM (which is what the note said - "it runs on the O2 network"), I need a new one from somewhere, as my usual phone is on Orange. I might see if the local O2 shop can swap it if I tell them it was a gift. It's not likely to be a huge problem if I just use my Orange number though, is it? Although I do like the idea of having my own special ARGing hotline
I don't seem to have much luck with these ARGs at the moment. Perhaps the Cosmic Joker is trying to tell me I'm not cut out for these things

This looks interesting... I want in.
Since all the websites are down at the moment, I don't suppose anyone with a few moments spare time could PM me a brief overview of the story?
I really like the packages people are getting. It's a really nice touch, all the writing and everything. I love things like that, all so individual.
