Same kind of patience that is required for me to not edit long quotes in posts that is a repeat of the entire post just before it, just to say one little thing at the very bottom. Cool

I can tell you this. DON'T DRINK THE WATER! Very Happy

from the ETS forums, damaged729:
has found new page:
Quote:
they were handing out free buttons after the Minneapolis listening party. four different ones from what I can tell. there were little words and numbers printed on each one. I haven't been able to get the other two to work. one button says "speak truth" and the number posted on it is either I682fg or L682fg. the other button is the resistance flag and has the word "sickle".

one of the buttons gives:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
SHARD: gasoline
WRECKAGE: UUu891
http://www.themailstrom.com/gasoline_uuu891.htm

Possibly this won't lead anywhere except to elucidate the circumstances of that character a little more, but it seems to me probable that "the school in Berea" refers to Berea College, a Kentucky postsecondary institution notable for its use of a mandatory work-study program (that is, tuition is low because all of the students there work for the school, or something very much like that). This almost certainly doesn't lead anywhere, but I think it's an interesting touch (especially as a Kentucky resident). Hammers home some details about life in Year Zero America outside of large population centers. Smile

Look at the recall/warning at cedocore :

Quote:

If you are currently taking Amproprax and have experienced
unusual, severe joint pain or difficulty swallowing, please
call your doctor immediately.

"Amp"roprax = red pills?

From buttons received at tonight's(3/21) listening party,

http://www.themailstrom.com/fratricide_774HZx.htm
http://www.themailstrom.com/wetwork_c276e4.htm
http://www.themailstrom.com/bitter_BGtg57.htm

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The book on "wetwork":
"A Clockwork Orange"
"He was in the land all right, well away, in orbit, and I knew what it was like, having tried it like everybody else had done, but at this time I'd got to thinking it was a cowardly sort of a beschch, O my brothers. You'd lay there after you'd drunk the old moloko..."

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The book on "bitter":
"A Separate Peace"
"carry him along: "I felt fear's echo, and along with that I felt the unhinged, uncontrollable joy which had been its accompaniment and opposite face..."

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The book on "fratricide":
"The Forever War"
"You couldn't blame it all on the military, though. The evidence they presented for the Taurans having been responsible for the earlier casualties was laughably thin. The few people who pointed this out were ignored.

The fact was, Earth's economy needed a war, and this one was ideal. It was a nice hole to throw buckets of money into, but would unify humanity rather than dividing it."

Yes this was taken form the ETS boards. (thanks guys!)

New today(3/27)

http://www.themailstrom.com/sickle_Nnqa49.htm
http://www.themailstrom.com/widow_vC99iT.htm

Auto response from penetratorxlSPLATconsolidatedmailsystems.com

Quote:
Sales of PENETRATOR XL have been discontinued pending litigation.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Somebody in the ETS chat noticed that reading down on the "sickle" email gives,
"nerochip extraction"

emailing the penetratorx addy with the subject "nerochip extraction" gets you this responce,

"If this is one of Willie's friends or clients, Willie is in prison. I guess it was just more important to him to look after you than it was to take care of me & anna-marie. I hope you think it was worth it. I'm still waiting for the Glorious Resistance to send me a box of diapers and some baby food and job that pays more than minimum wage. Oh—right. Those jobs are for people who AREN'T married to dissidents."

The names of those authors smell like anagrams to me. Unfortunately I suck at anagrams. JOIN THIS EMAIL? FRY DARK TALK? CLEVER WINCED?
