Hmm, well I'm going to guess from that description that your piece is the upper left panel of the painting. That would explain the smoke trail in the upper left corner of the top left panel already posted.

Switching gears here. . .

I think there is some sort of connection with Lovecraft's 'Dagon'. Read the Wiki and you'll see LOTS of things which relate to a lot of the comments already being make in relation to spirituality, gods, and such. All of the sea monster items make sense in this regard.

Also found it interesting that the Frankenstein card that was cut in half relates to this. Dagon having the top of a man (the top of Frankie's card) and his hands cuts off (the bottom half of the card has the hands - cut off).

Where does it lead to? Does this play a major part or a minor part?

I gave in and bought a copy of The Best of H.P. Lovecraft so that I'll get more of the references. Maybe as a fresh reader, I'll notice something that people who are more entrenched may miss. I"ll also keep checking out the paintings and such.

(An aside: I escaped from prom early, hurray.)

Axys Denyed... just a guess, but one of your photo images looks like it could be from The Bride of Frankenstein. I can't find the exact image, but the
wrapped body in this screenshot looks close...

Dagon Revealed

Dagon in the Mythos is a minor servant of Cthulhu. Basically he is a really big Deep One, a kind of walking fish man. Think of the Creature from the Black lagoon.

The image thus far on the watercolor is a stylized image of what appears to be Cthulhu. He is the most common image thought of when dealing with the mythos. Normally more rotund with the body of a man form, great large wings, and a octopus head.

As I told people on IRC Friday afternoon, I got a package. Everything from my envelope's scanned and posted here.

bags, perhaps you and I are the two guys in Brooklyn.

Oh, and I found this while looking at that Brooklyn CL entry. rose, got a shovel?

And now, back to the middle of this thread, as I try to catch up.

Okay, I skimmed.

hmmm.
well, I do have a garden at St. Anne's, a church in the Bronx.

or maybe a reference to searching for the Cube?

I don't think this one sounds so nice though "when you get up in the morning are you covered in dirt?"

Not so nice.

I assumed they might not send me a package because they know how terrible I am at getting things scanned and posted. If I get one, I could get bagsbee to do it I suppose Wink

I don't see anything up in Michigan yet, period. I'll keep an eye out if anything pops up.

Given that we know of at least 2 packages that went to the Cthulhu Live community, there are probably others that went to non-ARG folks.

For instance, the Harrisonburg posting contained this:
Quote:
You: Muttering. Murmuring. Growling.

Me: Kicking you away

Circling around. Refusing to leave. Begging. ... yakshof lana al majul ... yakshof lana al majul ... yakshof lana al majul ... over and over and over. I am bigger. I am stronger. But I cannot stop you.

I'll bseeingu
BA

"yakshof lana al majul" sounds vaguely cthulhu-ish.
EDIT: I think that it's actually Arabic. Embarassed Can anyone confirm?

Also perhaps some packages went to hacker/techsecurity communities?[/strike]

Well, I know I won't get one, because I'm new, and there isn't a craigslist for my area to begin with.

also note: w4m / w4w refer to "woman (bast) for man/woman (recipient)"

(probably already common knowledge, and I'm just dumb Razz)
