Harrisonburg posting contained this:

This isn't Harrisonburg, Va is it?

If it is, we recently finished a convention game there in March. We did 2 events at MadiCon 16

Don't know... Maybe someone on the ConCom. Or one of the students. It was held at James Madison University

Axys Denyed... just a guess, but one of your photo images looks like it could be from The Bride of Frankenstein. I can't find the exact image, but the

I didn't want to overstep my bounds and edit varin's image on the wiki, but I think the pieces can be brought together now. If you buy this arrangement, we have only 5 holes to fill. (I don't this this included Lovek's package from today)

That looks good to me. It'd be nice to get a real scan or at least a more flattened photo of the Garage picture - would make it easier to see if they line up.

However, I think we have more than 5 pieces left - I bet the picture continues to the right wit Cthulhu in the middle.

lovek's package

Here's a transcription of lovek's letter:

Chris,
I awoke this morning still cold from my journey into the night. It was there that I saw you, just as I had the night before and the night before that. Yet no matter how hard I try, you never see me. You never heed(?) my warnings(?). The fear of the ??? keeps you going, one by one, into the arms of indescribable(?) horror. It's a journey towards madness, you must know that, but it doesn't seem to matter. It doesn't seem to matter to any of you. I hope that tonight you will listen, that you will turn around. Maybe you could even tell the others...

Seeing you,
B

Have you been able to match your package to a craigslist posting lovek?

Hey All!

Late as usual for a number of reasons. I've plowed through most of this thread. This is my first ARG sort of. I got my package at the beginning of the week. I'm the craigslist in Lynchburg.

Contents are:

Coin
BseeingU.com card
"You are Providence" card
Copy of Provdence craigslist listing

The watercolor is a duplicate of the one at the wiki row 2 number 2, burning building.

Upper half of Frankenstein picture

Lower half of page 81, 82 with Antonette, Leaving, 2006 watercolor (pretty sure I saw a scan of the full thing in here.)

"At The Mountains of Madness"
page 35, 36 with Madness, mystery and Vain circled in red.

Also same book "At The Mountains of Madness" different smaller edition (smaller page size) page 71, 72

Dagon page 1, 2 with "Stagnation 265, 2, 5" written in red on it.

Title or chapter page of "The Biology of Squid, Giant and Otherwise" with an illustration of a giant squid.

And seemingly from the same book "Monsters of the Sea" page 55, 56
Sea Serpents, with the words Hydrarchos and Sea Serpents circled in red ink.

I'll try to get some scans or pics of the unique items up as soon as time allows.

Yes, the Craigslist in Las Vegas does appear to be for me. I called the phone number and left a message for BA. Said I was from Las Vegas and mentioned a recurring dream that would cause me to wake up with dread, but I couldn't really remember what it was about..but I would be all sweaty and upset.

However, while I left my cell phone, I did not leave any mail address. I'll be interested to see where this goes.

You: Discovering the terror

Me: Living the horror

It's not that bad at first. A few bad dreams and a headache or two. It may take months to remember the dreams and to realize that aspirin just won't cut it. After a while, you know the city better than you know your own. The people. That's the hard part. You begin to recognize them and then you get to know them. You watch them change as they lose everything. You'll see.

I'll bseeingu

Yep, an illustration of Hydrarchos is on p.55 of my copy of "Monsters of the Sea". The chapter frontispiece you have is on page 165 (and the reverse page 166 is blank in the book).

Lovek's chapter "Leviathan, or, The Whale" illustration is on page 191 (with p.192 on the back also being blank).

(i have a library copy of this book for the next 2.5 weeks, but I may need to buy it for my collection, if this keeps up.)

I know perfectly that I won't get a posting on Craigslist (not to mention a package, sigh), and yet I'm compulsively looking like twice a day the "missed connections" section for all the Brazilian cities covered. Sad.

Damn wrong country hemisphere.
