What?

The gas mask page. I got an answer, entered it, and got a dead end with a creepy pic of worms and no submit box. The answer I tried was pretty simple, though, and may just be wrong.
So you guessed something and didn't actually solve the cipher?

This may be encouraging, since the only other page where he set up a dead end was the page with Mona Lisa shaking her head.

No, I did solve the cipher, but in a different way than I usually would.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
since the voice says, "look behind you," I typed in the letters that precede each "u" in the text--"ggnhe." I figured, what the heck, try something simple since I'm at work and can't really do anything much.

That's surprisingly clever of you. I'm impressed. However, if the voice is in fact saying "look behind you", then shouldn't the letters be

Oddly enough, it leads to the same place. I'm not really sure how to take that. It would seem a whole lot of work to put into a red herring.

@Uberg33k - That's really odd. I don't know what to make of it. It's very much like the Mona Lisa situation. Maybe there's a non-trick solution to the gasmask cipher?

Chalky

Ugh, chalk man has me stumped.

I've read the hints, and well...

one of the hints in this thread referred to the book/film by dan brown, which I haven't read/seen. Please don't tell me I need to read/see those to get the answer >.<

any help?

I think that may be the case. I simply can't see why he would bother otherwise. Its somewhat confusing though since the answer for the rosary was somewhat out of left field. And for those that care, I decompiled the flash, and sped up the audio to a normal speed. He's definitely saying "look behind you".

Yes, you have to read the book in order to proceed further. However, here's a little hint.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The movie script is available online. Find it and search for the part where the paintings you just saw were.

You're thinking about the trees. Look around and see the forest. Smile

He means reread the entirety of the plaintext you deciphered. Take it a little more literally.

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that 27 symbols (26 letters + a rabbit/slug/whatever) wouldn't map to 6-sided cubes?

Do you mean that the 27 symbols can't appear in a unique arrangement on a set of 6-sided blocks?

I found it wierd too, but fortunately, my nephew has a set of these blocks. They are an antique set that my grandma gave him and I know from memory that the set has 20 blocks (it comes in a little wooden wagon) and the blocks have letters, numbers and animals on them (the animal in the picture is a rabbit, btw). I called my brother and asked him to get the blocks and tell me what was on each side of each one and he laughed at me. Very Happy I may get a peek at them when I'm home for vacation next month, but I really don't think the physical blocks are part of the clue. There is a photograph of the blocks online that has been previously linked on one of the forums that shows the blocks with the rabbit. I think GG just used this to photoshop the puzzle from since solving the puzzle otherwise would require knowledge that isn't available without access to a set of the blocks.

Ok, I'm on the one with the picture of the crying angel in the forrest, and theres a silouette in the foreground, and the wierd writting below it, and in the corner. I cant figure out what language this is, or how to decode it. Any spoilers/hints for me? Be much appreciated.
