perhaps someone can generate a quick script that will filter through all the cities on craigslist for new updates?

I'll try to get something set up tonight (i.e. as soon as I catch up on the boards)

Edit: What sort of traffic is this likely to generate?

If you can space it out to wait a few seconds between each request, it shouldn't be too bad. It'll take a while to complete, but that's ok, right?

If you don't get a chance to build something, I can take a stab at it.

Edit: Looks like we "just" have to hit up
Code:
http://boston.craigslist.org/search/mis?query=bseeingu
for every city. And then handle the output somehow. Very Happy

None for Alabama of course... I want pretty things... Sad Oh well. I suppose it's to be expected though. I'm probably the only ARGer in the area.

Not for long me and the wife are moving back to Montgomery so you'll not be the lone arger

I've got some scripts in place to scrape craigslist and find all of the cities in the world. I noticed that if you tack on a &format=rss (i.e. http://vancouver.craigslist.org/search/mis?query=bseeingu&format=rss) that you get an RSS feed.

I figured that everyone would like to know about updates asap, so I'm trying to get the 447 city rss feeds merged into a giant one. I tried using rssmix, but that just gives me an empty feed (as you can see for yourself). I'm waiting for feedblendr.com to finish blending the feeds. Why would it take so long to blend a measley half thousand feeds into one I wonder... Twisted Evil

BTW the traffic I was talking about was hosting traffic. I.e. would you guys murder my poor server with your internet rays, or is it safe?

EDIT: In the mean time if anyone finds them useful:
*OPML for all of the CL postings
*List of all the search URLS
*Same as above with results in RSS

Here it is boys and girls: the uber combined feed!
This should, theoretically, update you whenever new criagslists missing connections are posted with "bseeingu" in them anywhere in the world.

Feed Main Page (with all the options)
Atom
RSS

Edit: Looks like neither the RSS nor the Atom feeds have all of the postings. Might be best to subscribe to both...
...or subscribed to the blend(e)d blend

Still no love for the ENTIRE African continent. Perhaps the postage costs to South Africa would have depleted their budget?

Clearly Chthulhu has no interest in Africa, and leaves us to sip pina coladas on the beach while the rest of the world burns and/or fight giant carnivorous crickets.

This is unacceptable! And I shall certainly write a strongly worded letter to BASt regarding her poor taste in Nations in Danger of Impending Doom.

Right, I'll stop moaning now Wink

Score! A-course, that's still quite a distance from Dothan. When I (hopefully) get into Montevallo, it'l be a good bit closer. But yeah, maybe I'm lucky I didn't get a package. Bugs do not get along with me. Wink

Nobody, as far as I know. I think I'm the one closest to Baires, and still I'm like 2400 kilometers and a border from there.

Definitely no love for Brazil.
