(bold is mine).

Good thing you did that - BA seems to take a lot of aspirin. She probably ran out. Wink

There are five posts where she mentions aspirin.

Quote:

Las Vegas
It may take months to remember the dreams and to realize that aspirin just won't cut it.

New Orleans
I reach for the aspirin and I type.

New York
I turn on the coffee maker and grab the bottle of aspirin off the shelf.

Pullman/Moscow, WA
I turn on the coffee maker and grab the bottle of aspirin off the shelf.

Guam-Micronesia
I turn on the coffee maker and reach for the bottle of aspirin.

Also, there are quite a few similarities in these five posts. The 'you' and 'me' phrases are usually 'Dreaming' and 'Awake', respectively.

The last three posts have a few sentences that are nearly identical. She writes that she was woke by severe headaches or a montrous cry, destroying or killing any chance or possibility to return to sleep. Usually it is the caffeine that reminds her this is a dream, but once it was the aspirin.

So I guess I had nothing to do with it. Sad Thanks for searching and finding those posts, I was being lazy. Smile

I'm thinking of making some Excedrin. It has both caffeine & asprin in the same tablet. Laughing

I was thinking the same thing! Except that I thought Tylenol just to see if we are getting that far into her dreams. But the Excedrin for Migraines is an excellent choice - one of my favorites!

Yep, today would be the day.

A couple of weeks ago in the thread about the huge bandwidth, I made a guess that we might only get 13 groups of 13 posts - we had a port 1313 and the chorazos log repeated 169 times (13 x 13). Without counting the initial post on April 1st, and the RE: post in reply to the Tampa post on May 16, that gives us 169 posts.

Hmm. Maybe this is the end of the first chapter of the series? I didn't listen to the netcast but maybe it can shed some light on what is going on? I don't see any story explanation of why BA would disappear- other than she is an alter ego of the magician - or otherwise related to him. (or maybe she just took a holiday for memorial day. Wink )

Just another dream - w4w
Quote:
You: holding the elevator
Me: racing down the hall

Tortured screams fill the air, waking me up and breaking any hope of sleep that I had. I look out to the window and the smoke filing the air. Its not safe. I have to get out.

Quickly, I gather my things and head into the hall. As I race to the stairs, I'm stopped by a man scratching at the walls. Tearing through the wallpaper covered with chaotic patterns made up of strange symbols. His feet are surrounded by shreds. His hands, dripping with blood, are filled with different layers of paper each indistinguishable from the last. Laughing hysterically, he lifts his hands to his mouth.

You pull me into the elevator before I can hear his scream.

I just posted this over at SO, but I thought I'd post my rambling thoughts here too:

Wallpaper...a background image perhaps? Or the image mapmaker found here?

Just a wild thought. A background image was the first thing that popped in my head.

Guess she didn't disappear. Lucky for us.

It is an interesting theory Tipsila, but when I was thinking about the specifics of it with the story as we know it now, I couldn't come up with a convincing reason that she would vanish. What did you have in mind?

(FYI: if I disappear from this game for a while it isn't because I'm not following along. I'm moving into lurker mode now because I have this incredibly painful tendonitis and I have to limit typing as much as I can. By not resting my arm when I can I'm just making it take longer to heal -though playing an ARG is so tempting. Wink )

You know, I never even thought about her disappearing - I was only thinking about the numbers (i.e., 1313 and 169), and that we would find what we needed in the posts we already had. Maybe I should leave the thinking to other people and go water my garden. Smile

Hope your arm is better soon, rose.

You see the danger all around you. You assess it and think about it. Are you looking for the familiar?

Via Answers.com:

Familiars- Spirits that live with, travel with, and assist magicians, sorcerers, and witches.

Should we be looking for The Familiar as opposed to the familiar?

I don't know much about the occult...just thinking out loud.
