Going to Greenwood

So Green-wood Cemetery is having a guided tour this afternoon starting at 1:00 led by the cemetery historian. I'm going to try to go out there, it is a beautiful day and not too hot, and see if he has any thoughts about the angel.

I wouldn't go just to wander around on my own but as I can ask him questions, it should be worth it. I'm going to tell him it is part of an online scavenger hunt sort of thing - that seems to work as a quick explanation.

Post more later.

Gah! After waiting 45 minutes for the R train (I hate the letter trains Wink ) I knew I would never make it. I left an hour and a half to get there from my house, but the trains are on a delayed schedule. Sorry. But here is the thing, I promise to get in touch with the historians somehow, by phone or email, and see what they think. Also, if next week isn't too bad, I can go during the week when the trains run on a better schedule.

One more quick thing. In one of the posts BA speaks about the magician(though she doesn't refer to him by name) as missing something and she says "I caught it." Well, she caught the angel's finger didn't she? And the magician didn't have it or the online equivalent thereof, so that must have been what he was missing??

I think that the dove landing on the finger, turning it and then it dropping off was supposes to happen as part of a process??

In the "Mornin'" post (Tampa 05/16, Craigslist) BA states that "I know that I have only seen one real place". Which implies that the fortune teller's is the only location mentioned prior to 05/16 that exists in real space outside of the dreamscape. (as it was mentioned numerous times prior to 05/16)...

UGH! I feel your pain Rose, considering I'm stuck taking that exact train to work every day. There's nothing like the top notch quality service provided by the MTA.

So I've been swamped with freelance for the last few days and haven't been able to keep up too well. Am I to presume that there were no new Craigslist posts this weekend? The slow down's got to be because we're missing something big. I have no clue as to what though and it's getting pretty damn frustrating. You'd think one of us would be able to find a lead after almost 200 CL posts!

Hopefully, I'll be able to think this over more once my other job's done. One more week...

Ten days to hell - w4m
Quote:
You: Discovering the madness
Me: Trying to get out
A tormented cry echoes through my head, waking me up and killing any thought I have of sleep.
The horror isn't the cry.
The horror is that I'm here. Again. Always.
Ten days. Ten nights.
Ten days to figure it out.
Ten days to accept it or move on.
I watched you.
One. You were running down the hall. Awake. Aware.
Five. You were trapped in the stairwell. Scared. Screaming
Ten. You were sitting in the lobby. Paralyzed. Panicked.
You've found the madness.
Is it the way out?

Creepy much? And it seems that there is now a time limit or an ultimatum...

But is that ten days until the next phase starts, or ten days to solve something we missed?

You: Stalking behind

Me: Going forward

Outside, I ignore the chaos around me and look up the street to the familiar. The man on the corner. The dog growling behind the fence. The old woman sitting on the steps.

Following the sounds of the drums, I walk up to the corner. The frenetic crowd dances around the man banging on the Batá. Over the past week, I've watched as, one by one, the not so mad throw items into his hat. Hoping for answers. Hoping to understand.

Tonight, it was you.

A way out?

He laughed.

So did I.

That's when you came over to me. Hopeful.

As if I could answer you. As if he'd answer me.

Over the past week, I've offered him everything I had.

Nothing was good enough.

When I walked away, you followed.

As if I could lead you out of here.

I'll bseeingu

You know, I'm actually looking forward to either right about now.

So I assume we are to figure something out or expect something on the morning of June 28th?

Does 'You've found the madness.' refer to us now being just as lost as BA is? She seems to find it amusing that we think she can help us, as if we are barking up the wrong tree. Where on earth is Exu (The drummer)? BA thinks he has the answers, but he just keeps playing around with her because she has nothing of value to offer him. Do we? He didn't give us anything concrete either. Is there any way to contact him?

You: Looking for answers

Me: Finding Providence

As I cross the street, I look back at the dancers. Behind me dozens have gathered.

Following me. Looking for hope.

Looking for answers.

I point back to the corner.

You refuse. They all do.

I move on.

The dog barks as I near. Behind me, I hear hissing. Ignoring the warning, I walk up to fence.

Ten days. Ignored.

I hear the growl and wonder if he remembers me.

I call his name. He runs deeper into the yard.

An invitation to follow?

I hop the fence and notice a number of holes in the yard. They must have been there for days.

Next to them, there are all sorts of treasures. A dead, now rotting, fish. A book. Some money.

Providence walks around confused. Unsure.

Haunted.

Lonely.

In the distance, there's a scream.

Providence howls.

I run.

I assume the items (fish, book, money) by Providence are the items we've made an left in the MUD. Someone had made a guest book of sorts for us to write notes to BA.

Ohh, see, I couldn't get the MUD to work. I assumed the book meant the Necronomicon, or at least Unaussprechlichen Kulten or De Vermis Mysteriis.
