That is interesting. Unless the same PM is doing both characters.

Or ( </meta> ) since the Boston post is presumably aimed at Howard, BA could be picking up one of his quirks. Given the references to Marie's past in recent CL posts, we have to start considering the possibility that BA is an actual, card-carrying, spooky-action-at-a-distance psychic.

Well spotted, Tipsila!

Or BA has access to inside information about the Sentries. I'm betting on that outcome at this point.

BA has dial up?

No, seriously, I finally worked out that the connection in the dreams is signaled by the eyes.. But sound is obviously important too.

Um, you might want to fix your URL Obtusivity Smile

Since this weekend's CL are kinda haphazard since we are without a functioning dreamcatcher, here are the ones I think we have so far:

Here's the full list:

http://harrisonburg.craigslist.org/mis/400020082.html
http://caribbean.craigslist.org/mis/400150911.html
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/mis/400420837.html
http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/mis/400491526.html

http://fortcollins.craigslist.org/mis/400651495.html
http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mis/400735707.html
http://stockholm.craigslist.org/mis/400873983.html
http://lima.craigslist.org/mis/400957961.html
http://sudbury.craigslist.org/mis/401024694.html
http://bend.craigslist.org/mis/401081917.html

http://stockholm.craigslist.org/mis/401205337.html

I think the Buffalo CL is really significant because it gives us, for the first time, the names of the 13 people who died in the Miskatonic caving accident (5 faculty; 8 others):

Quote:
Kyle August Srinivasa Bhaskaracharaya Erich Carroll Dee Smith Haddon Van Doren
Before their time
J. Robert Cooper Hiro Kusekabe Miles Ross Nathan Veneziano David Young
Before the horror.
George Ghyka Dan Marco Adrianna Solovine
Before the unknown.

Some SPEC based on this list:
I'm pretty sure that Howard is going to confirm that is his girlfriend Adrianna on the list. A quick Google search on these names turned up very little interesting except for the fact that both "Ghyka" and "Solovine" are Romanian surnames (of Romanian mathematicians, to be exact). Why is that interesting? Well, it just so happens that the Chorazos Cult started in Romania. Could dear sweet dead Adrianna have been a member of Chorazos??

Other spec:
I had a theory that the 13 CL locations in each batch will somehow turn out to correspond to the 13 people who died in the cave. I still don't have any superstrong evidence for that theory other than the number 13, but it seems possible that "Srinivasa Bhaskaracharaya" could be from Bangladesh, for instance. There are no obvious Swedish names, so I'm not sure who would be from Stockholm (or the Caribbean or Lima, etc.).

The names could be taken from scientists: For example, "Bhaskaracharaya" is another spelling of Bhaskara, a famous 12century Indian mathematician, and "Veneziano" is also the name of a famous physicist.

EDIT:
In a post on SO, Howard clarified who these people are:
HPHack wrote:
Dr. Bhaskaracharaya and Dr. Carroll were on my thesis committee. Dr. Bhaskaracharaya, on top of being a top notch simulation theorist, also made me wish there were more women among CS faculty. I couldn't have imagined a more supportive thesis advisor. I'd had a couple of classes with Dr. Van Doren, but he was an "engineer in geek's clothing" and never cared much for hardware theory (or I'd have been an EE major instead.) Dr. Smith and Dr. August were Physics faculty -- Dr. August was the head of the research project. Even at the "team picnic" the two of them seemed aloof, so totally gone into their own heads they had completely forgotten how to socialize with others.

Miles was the poor bastard that took my place with Hiro. Miles was one of the few real friends I had among the grad students. Before he left, I teased him that he better keep his hands off my girlfriend, and he joked back that if he wanted to make a pass at Adrianna he would do it in an environment where they could both shower that day. I was a pallbearer at his funeral. Pallbearer of an empty fucking coffin that his wailing mother insisted be put in the ground in the family plot in Delaware. All that was in it was his high school baseball letter jacket and a picture taken when he graduated undergrad. The six of us walked slowly, as if we were carrying a huge weight, as if we had to help pretend Miles' body was actually in there. Just so it could be under the earth again so she could stop mourning the loss of her son.

From reading this it looks to me like the groupings in the CL corresponds to different groups of individuals:

Faculty:
August
Bhaskaracharaya
Carroll
Smith
Van Doren

Students:
Cooper
Kusekabe
Ross
Veneziano
Young

Other: (spelunking guides?)
Ghyka
Marco
Solovine

Is BA's bleeding face supposed to ring familiar with Howard's recent dream-induced nosebleed? The line "you can't die in a dream" is ominous, although it seems like Howard is too connected to everything to die just yet.

Awesome post Dante, as usual.

I don't think the location has anything to do w/ the 13. (since the North SF Bay post (at least to me) seems to correspond to my drummer dream submission.

But i have a feeling the 13 are the cats...?the cats are totally throwing me for a loop at the moment, since i can't figure out where they even stand in the dreamscape, good, bad, or indifferent..
