PrimoPDF FTW. Screw Acrobat's bloat. I only use it at work cause they make me.

I love Primo too but as far as I know its only a creator not a viewer?
Foxit is the smallest size viewer I've found, very quick and easy to install for you guys who don't have or want the Adobe resource hog: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader_2/down_reader.htm

If you zoom in to 400% and beyond you can see that there are actually three different types of lines. Mountain, valley, cut maybe?
Edit: and sorry for the double but it seemed important enough.

I've created a guide for where various positions in the PDF will appear in (what I believe is) the completed origami. It works like this (the below is the completed origami positions)
For the back side of the origami:
Back Left Top Back Center Top Back Right Top
Back Left Center Center Half 1/Center Half 2 Back Right Center
Back Left Bottom Back Center Bottom Back Right Bottom
The front side:
Left Top Center Top Right Top
Left Center Center Center Right Center
Left Bottom Center Bottom Right Bottom

I got one too, but the dexign has already been shown - it's the one with the 2 - 8's and 4,S,2 & M,W on the other sheet. Very strange - came to the email addy that is NOT linked to UF, but has been used in games.

Correct. I think I was being too literal since he just said Adobe. I was assuming he meant Acrobat and not Acrobat Reader. You'd still need Primo for merging and editing PDFs if you're trying to do the layer thing.
Now, I've gotten another reply from our mystery emailer. From the last email I posted, I replied ...

Terrible when that happens, isn't it? Make sure your boss doesn't catch you dozing
Any idea who was using your workstation or what these weird emails might possibly mean?
And got in return ...

None. That's what got me so confused. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out who would (or could) have done this? I hope this hasn't caused you any inconvenience.
This person is pretty responsive, but not showing a lot of cards.

Hey, I got one too! So someone's trying to drag me into a game, eh?
Alright... attached is my Diversion.pdf - is it a repeat?
For what it's worth, I'm going to throw out what I think of the one prevalent idea, and then give you a second idea to consider, since I haven't had time to digest it all yet:
1) Origami - you guys are right on with this, though I'm curious if you get different results switching mountains and valleys (up vs. down, as the follow-up query e-mails say). But right on I say because you get something that looks right - the numbers/letters all face the same direction when it's done.
2) Sudoku - 3x3 grids with blank spaces always make me think sudokus for some reason these days. What if we're to put all of these together one way or another to make a giant sudoku grid to solve? How many unique ones are there out there?

Well right up until then, the presence of six separate puzzles was making me think cube, but it certainly doesn't work with seven.
The other thing I've been wondering about though: what about somehow being related to minesweeper. If those ambiguous numbers are only 6's not nines, then maybe each number represents how many grids around them are supposed to contain letters by overlapping? I don't know if I explained that properly -.-

Got mine this morning. I suspect it's the same, but not got time to check as working, sorry
The people who got it are wider than that list of contact details here on the forum aren't they? But they do include that list.

Hello there, I got an email with an adobe file yesterday too. On the grid thing I have: l, 2, 5, T, 9.
And on the second one I have: R and 9. (The nines may be sixes?)
I noticed on the properties of the file that it was made by a mmorri05 ...don't know if that was accidental or on purpose though, might be worth looking into.

Yup, that's a repeat of my one, Mikeyj.
Hmm, I was thinking sudoku too But not sure how the letters would come in to play.
I'm going to drop the guy an email and ask if his outbox can let us know how many different mails were sent out see if we can find out how many pdf there are.
EDIT: Not checked yours yet, gazdemon. But we ran some basic searches for mmorri05 yesterday but turned up nothing.
