 		It's sounds nice but then a little too obscure given the realms of possibilities. It needs to be self contained. I wonder if the PuzzleMeister (master) might pop in and lend a hint or two?

For Floor 24, when searching for two Johns I found that Google was v. helpful, plus knowing a little about the puzzle's author helps (Google his name and check out his profiles)... Very Happy

there's just not enough information there.
