Re: Level 27

I have spent, in total, over three hours on this level.

I've tried all types of anagrams, cryptic combinations of letters, etc.

If anyone, anywhere, has solved this one, please provide some information, even just a clue about what the pipes mean!

Thanks to the author for posting such a mindbending puzzle, btw.

Re: 27

I think the reference to cryptology ("a little more cryptic") and thinking outside "the box" could point to the use of a Vigenere square (or related) encryption method. However the standard Vigenere square does not contain pipes, so maybe "finding the box" means using an extended version of the square? Perhaps like the ASCII table?

Just a thought...

Level 27

One thought I had was that NO and SEP had something to do with months, but what does PF mean in that context? And what about the 'pipes'?

But . . . .

We have also been told to find the box (though in a more expressive manner).

Perhaps we can regard these 'pipes' as folds in the box. Then we can redraw the clue like this:

Code:
N       F
O       P
S       ?
E P ? ? ?

or this

N   F
O   P
S   ?
E   ?
P ? ?

Okay, they're a bit wobbly, but you get the idea.

Do we now need to fill in the boxes with other letters? If so, . . . . er . . . I got nothing!

Confused Smiley Confused

Level 10 is the long line of seemingly random letters, not the spectrum one.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Try shifting the alphabet by a number of letters in one direction - how many is up to you.

Hope that helps.

Yep, just tried it using the box cipher idea. Doesn't work no matter how you set it up.
