[TRAILHEAD?] Want some tacos?

A Post on Penny Arcade Forums wrote:
Let me just give a little backstory here. I was at the 2007 GDC, on the last day of the conference. Stayed until the end, got all of my goodies, etc. When I got outside, I decided to have a smoke before I headed home, so I stuck near the outside of the building, talked to some people, and all that. Before I left, though, I noticed a stack of cards, i think it was either on top of a garbage can(like the metal part, not in the actual can), or an ash tray. Either way, I grabbed one, because I couldn't tell what it was.

I'm still stumped. Its the size of a basic business card. A little bit on the thicker side. Its mostly black, with horizontal lines running through it. Upon further inspection, I realized that it was more like a picture, with large black lines running through it. The colors in the non-black 'lines' seem to make up a picture, but its obscure enough that I have no idea what it is.

The back is simple enough(well hell, it could be the front really). S.C appears in the middle of the card, in fairly large red letters. Behind it is a faint, hard to see snowflake(initially why I got interested. Makes me think its somehow related to blizzard[snowflake] and starcraft[S.C]). The other side is what really gets me though.

18 combinations of letters appear, ranging from two to three letters each. They are seemingly randomly placed on the card, but with a red line connecting them to one of the four sides of the card. Here are the letters:

(Connecting to the left side, from top to bottom)

eyg
co

(Connecting to the bottom, from left to right)

sim
hu
yo
ww
ng
som

(connecting to the right, from bottom to top)

uy
ki
uwa
eta
w.h

(connecting to the top, from right to left)

s.c
om
nt
ry
nda

They aren't in a straight circle or anything though, they randomly appear further or closer to the side they are 'connected' to.

Two more things. On the top left part of this side, there is a very small circular indent. Also, you can barely make out wax(or max, cant tell) hidden in one of the black parts, in a very un-vibrant red(if that makes sense).

I'll take a picture or two of it tomorrow. this thing is killing me to find out.

This led to

Which has an invoice for Ticket Spitters. Apparently their website was hacked recently. One of the news posts leads to an odd myspace page:

There's a link in the myspace's interests to a haiku blog:

Now here's where I'm stuck. Looks like a pretty bizarre game though.

This is...definitely a weird one. Blobs that like Skee Ball. Humm...

So, all I've got so far is that the blob with the MySpace is the guy who is after taco-man...

The images directory, luckily, is not protected.

And in here, there is a copy of the invoice without the coffee stain on it.

Good day.

It's definitely not a company number, as it had the "record your message after the tone" at the end of the call.

My guess is we have to find the Customer Support ID number off the invoice. I tried all the numbers but I'm not sure what the right ID is.

Wait...

This isn't tech support.

Gaaaaah.

Try

tearsofapharaohSPLATticketspitters.com

instead

Is what it says on the page. Whats interesting about this is that the background image of http://www.ticketspitters.com/customer_support_ticket_id_goes_here/ is called "pharaohtears" and the e-mail is tearsofapharaohSPLATticketspitters.com. The background image on the new page is called "cookiedippers". Perhaps it could lead to another clue.

I emailed the tears address. Nothing back yet, but I just emailed them, so...y'know.

One other thing that I noticed is that the person who's being hunted is, apparently, Santa Claus.

Check the name on the paper at the top left. There's also

Which is pretty out of place.

I emailed too.

Quote:
I do not have that much time. The manufacturers being very much aligned with the alien orb bastards have ceased taking my calls and have barred me from visiting the premises, so I cannot re-create my repair order ticket with them -- I ask that any who reads this attempt to do so on my behalf.

My email was asking to re-create the repair order ticket like he asked.

And he mentioned the Santa Claus thing too. But I wonder how we can contact him if we do get a new repair order to let him know?

If you can spare any manner of weapon, protective gear, or ammunition that I can give to my team, it would be much appreciated. Just address the packages to Santa Claus -- your local postal carrier knows how to reach me.

Also the last paragraph on the main tacos page:
Quote:
Assuming all efforts at compelling them to repair the cursed machine fail, I will without doubt be fighting for my life in the coming days. If you can spare any manner of weapon, protective gear, or ammunition that I can give to my team, it would be much appreciated. Just address the packages to Santa Claus -- your local postal carrier knows how to reach me.

Im guessing that S.C. stands for Santa Claus

I just got the same reply that other people have been getting in the Penny Arcade forum where the discussion started.

Photobucket

I found that an image from the haiku page comes from a photobucket album, under the name blobforce.

http://s159.photobucket.com/albums/t146/blobforce/?action=guestlogin

We need a password to read the rest of the album. This haiku seems to be a riddle, perhaps it holds the answer, or at least, AN answer.

Quote:

Three will meet at one
a big nasty pirate shall
separate the two

Two of them shall go
to a cloud where zero dare
and this line has five

Zero sense this makes
and this line should have seven
more about the two

The picnic's at six
surely this is important
but I don't know why

I also found this, but I'm not sure if it's part of the game: http://www.blobtropolis.com/
