Sorry if it seems like I am hi-jacking this thread, but exchanged a couple more messages with Lisa:

Lisa,

Sorry to bother you again, especially so soon after my last message, (and thank you for such a speedy reply), but advances in technology really interest me, and you mentioned a few things, which have peaked my curiosity.

I hope you don't mind me asking for more details, but as I said, gadgets interest me!
How does the object detection work and how does this function? (How detailed is the system?)
How do these units make the crimes you mentioned, virtually impossible? Is there some sort of offensive/defensive capability?
When you say "everyone has one", do you mean city wide or just in certain districts?

Thanks in advance,

Brum

Lisa says: If gadgets interest you, then Blue is certainly right for you. A lot of the R&D from Sci-corp over in Red eventually gets put on production lines here or in Grey. I certainly don't mind answering your questions, although I'm not a techhead so I don't fully understand it all.

Object detection is what we call the tracking of certain items. You spray a nano-spray onto whatever you consider valuable, and if it's somehow stolen from you Securicorp know exactly where it is. The system behind it is huge, it took as long to install as all the MWUs themselves.

As well as tracking your valuables, if your house is broken into then Securicorp, or Transcorp Security, is notified straight away and an officer is sent down immediately. The house also enters a sort of lockdown, making sure the criminal can't escape before security arrives. It's not foolproof, but it's usually false positives rather than false negatives, and we consider it best to err on the side of caution.

MWUs were installed in every house in the city. The project was completed in 2034, and it took more than 10 years, but the city's a lot safer for it. Now whenever new housing is built, it's a legal requirement to install an MWU, for safety.

I hope this helps. Keep in touch!

I may be totally wrong, but (in my little world) there has to be a reason that this technology was mentioned in the "Welcome to Blue District" video, which I think is more than just giving the background of Senator Rose Mandrel.
