The whole 'subliminal messages' thing really reminds me of Bad Wolf in Doctor Who. But I think that's more a source of inspiration than a direct link or proof.

Doctor Who and Perplex City exist in completely different universes. Why have them crossover? I don't think it has anything to do with Doctor Who.

But if they wanted to enlist David Tennant into Perplex City for any reason, that would be fine with me. Wink

I just meant that they were similar also referred to Bad Wolf and Saxon posters on a different thread....I was all ooo Battle of Canary Wharf and all. It mostly started when I read Cybus instead of Cyrus on a website. Dr. Who had a bit of an online game at one point so I thought it was a tiny reference back to it.

Anyways can anyone figure other ways of mind control...maybe hypnosis...they may be involved in other secret projects.

I'd like that too...

Ever heard of binaural beats?

Those can drastically alter your mood, (But require the use of quality headphones. That could be interesting to see at Big Weekend...)

Could you fill us in a bit on those? They sound interesting...

Gladly (I'll tell you what I know, and some of my experiences with them.)

A binaural beat is a sound that has varying waves at different frequencies. When the waves are broken up (into left and right) and listened to (through headphones) your brain interprets them as brain waves, and reacts to them. I know a couple colleges have been doing extensive research in this field, and binaural beats are starting to become much more popular. (I have several on my mp3 player now.)

SBaGen I believe was the first freeware program available on the internet that offered binaural beats. It's a great program, and it allows you to make your own.

I know I-Doser.com sells a bunch of binaural beats. (But why bother paying when SBaGen is free???)

It's quite difficult to get them to work. You have to be able to clear your mind, and stay still for an average of 30 minutes to get the full experience. It takes practice, and when you get it right: oh my!

I have been collecting data from various users on my forum. Here are a couple quotes (We mostly use the SBaGen content):

Quote:
It made everything slow within about 5 minutes, and my arms became very heavy. After turning it off about 10 minutes through it, I began to feel a jittery sense of relief. I don't know how to explain it; Think of the most stressful situation in your life; One where you thought you were going to die. Now take the feeling of relief afterward; You're still tense, but relaxed it's over. Very cool.
Quote:
I don't know if it was because I was tired, or if it was actually the sound, but I couldn't stop laughing during most of it.
Quote:
This thing knocked me out so fast I was on my back for hours, and did not move.
Quote:
It was great. At first my arms got all numb and started shaking a little. The numbness continued down my body to my legs, until my whole body was numb. Right before the end the numbness just disappeared. It was fun.
Quote:
Emily apparently looked like she was in pain. She said she could hear a voice, but could not understand it. I felt horrible afterward ... Like I didn't know what was happening ... Very dizzy ... Didn't like it much.
Quote:
This stuff is the shit. I hadn't slept in about 20 hours, so I was very sleepy. 30 minutes later, I'm wide awake. Didn't fall asleep for another 8 hours or so. During the dose I kept twitching and taking random deep breaths.

EDIT: No need to expect these at Big Weekend... (Unless they intend to hand out 35,000 pairs of headphones.)
