THANK YOU VBCHICA923 just as I was reading your note I was looking at my graph and noticed that some lines had more than one zero - so now I can see the forest thru the trees and you are a genius and I feel like a complete idiot. These puzzles can be so aggravating considering how simple they really are once you know what you are doing!!
I get it now so thanks a million! Now I can go back to my To Do list!!!

puzzle 13 illumination pattern i have found this pattern in the lantern stage whether it is rellevant is still to be determined.
In follwing text take numbers AS WRITTEN as transposing lantern numbers has a different effect. I will mark any numbers with an (O) to signify a lantern that has an O in the middle of it when lit by the corresponding lantern.
1-5(O)
2-9(O)
3-4(O)-7
4-7-3
5-1(O)
6-8(O)
7-4(O)-3
8-6
9-2
So hope this helps someone out i thought it might give me somethin but now ive gone blank.

Hmm...any help here?
Can not figure it out!
Have translated the numbers from binary to decimal, but isn't binary 8 chars?
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1001 = 9
10011= 19
or
01110 = 14
11100 = 28
But still can not figure it out LoL

Hey vbchica923,
I got O's in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th spots.
So am assuming that 1110 11100
Didn't you get O's in the same positions?
I got the same as you...on the same spots...so hmm...maybe I have to do the lanters twice?

I feel like a dope... ...because I recognized it as binary immediately from the clue "on off". Then spent seventeen years of my life that I'll never get back translating it to hexidecimal, base 64, ASCII text, a little alphanumeric grid I thought had some merit- meanwhile Im sitting there with the answer scrawled on a piece of Starbucks napkin.
I think I overthought it. I also think I may have accidentally solved time travel in the process...

Spare us please Lummisan lighten up,
Gridwerk was making fun of his/her solution and you have to go and pile on, bad form old chap.
This is a place to express ideas for solutions, and as the saying goes if your not part of the solution your part of the problem.
Enjoy the game!

Krakatau Puzzle #12 I can't figure this out. What about the cicles that occasionally appear on the lanterns?
