Hey Dale:

I have to say that I was very surprised by your appearance at Doug's funeral yesterday, even though I have to admit it was a good surprise. I'm sure Phyllis was pleased with the respect you showed for Doug by showing up for his burial.

You looked good, stronger and healthier than you were the last time I saw you. I assume you've been resting up and taking care of yourself at last. So, I'm hoping you are ready to step forward and clear up all these matters surrounding you, at least partially due to your extended absences lately.

With that in mind: You promised Chief Prufrock that you would come down to the Police Department today and start answering questions. Your phone call saying you couldn't make it until tomorrow is your last chance, Dale. After tomorrow, I won't ask Dawn to hold off any longer. And I know the State and possibly even federal officials won't be far behind. So I hope the fact that you came to the funeral is a sign that you intend to start acting responsibly again. I hope to see you tomorrow.
