I'm still following along, and I'd be up for that sort of double-agent type thing. I actually thought about it before, but decided against saying anything until we were sure the game was going that way. If you guys want me to attempt to gain his trust, I'll give it a shot.

Just a thought, but the 13 comment in the source was added when the number of comments to the hmm... post equalled 5 which was the first commented number. Following this train of thought, if we post 13 comments to the latest blank post something else might happen...

It's definitely worth a try, solid logic.

Again, I think its worth a shot. IMHO I don't really like the idea of certain players being vitally active and others only being able to follow along, so for me, the more ways we find to interact and involve more players the better. I already saw your comment, and I think a little argument will help jack the comment count Wink .

Oh yeah, I agree. Though perhaps one of the Completed should let Menelaus know about the plan, so that he doesn't think I'm actually allying with Zero?

No worries Esteed. I've let Menelaus know, and asked him if he can to contact us to let us know he's still OK.

Well he hasn't responded to my email yet. I'd just like to make sure it's secure, if Zero is intercepting his mail, then letting him know your on our side will also let Zero know.

I'll tell Menelaus your undercover as soon as I get confirmation it's secure.

Of course Menelaus could just read your mind, and know what side your really on. Smile

EDIT: Well, lets hope its secure. I'm probaby over-thinking it anyway! Laughing

Something occurs to me. The 5 was placed by the entry from June 1st. On June 5th, another entry was posted, containing in the source a 13. Perhaps it's not a required post count, but a date marker?

It worked! I just checked my mail and discovered an email from Zero.

Quote:
I would like to thank you for your assistance. You helped me before, so
I have no problem trusting you. You can help once again. I have some
information that would be valuable to the so called "Completed". I would
like to entrust you with it so that I may forget it myself.

1

I look foreword to working with you.

He likely wants me to remember it so Menelaus can't read it directly from his thoughts. If we want this whole double-agent thing to work out, we need to sit on this information for a little while, so that it doesn't look like I'm giving the information out.

I got a response from Menelaus last night. (Alex Russleburg? A slip of the curtain?)

Email would probably now be the only secure way of comunicating now that Zero found my log. And you can rest assured. Zero planned to kill me before he found out about you and the rest of the Completed.

I would also like to let you know that I know about Esteed. That was a brilliant plan. Please, give him my thanks.

If we're going to get anymore blog updates then it looks like you were right about the date marker Esteed. I also think it's wise we hold out on revealing any information Zero sends you until the last minute. We might want to start thinking of a plausable situation where we could get the information from you without you giving it to us; even after we hack Zero's blog a man on the inside will be useful.

BTW what was Zero's email address? Is that what we need as a username to log into his blog?

Well, if you were to hack his blog before the reveal, it wouldn't be that hard to say that you hacked me as well.

So now there's a 21 in the source of Zero's blog. That's 5, 13, 21.

I've got four theories:

1. They're all 8 apart which is obvious, which would make the next number 29. This wouldn't actually mean anything though with regards to a password.

2. My blog comment counter theory. This still holds as we didn't get the 3rd number until we'd posted over 13 times to the blog.

3. The date marker theory. It can't be a date marker as the blog was updated before the 13th.

4. It's a simple substitution code, which would make the first three password letters EMU.

The 1st and 3rd seem poor, the 2nd a maybe, but my money's on the 4th option.

if it's a simple substitution code, "EMU" isn't the whole password - if he's a stupid one, he chose "emulator", making the next number a 12... But I won't wait that long...

With no progress in the last few days, may I suggest a bombardment of the incomplete incarnate discussion to take it over 21 posts, it seemed to work before.

I've been thinking, emu aren't the most common of starting letters for words, I think either he is giving us the letters in reverse order, and the word ends ---UME or his password is a word spelt backwards, Oh, and Esteed, was "1" the extent of the information Zero entrusted you with, If so it may be another character in his password, and if my thinking is corrent, it will be the first letter, so the password will go A???UME, or so I would ASSUME. But then I am just spitballing here.
