Could this possibly going beyond the internet? Eek, I'm excited.

EDIT: Anyone else feel like the new, friendlier CM is the reason we have to "choose sides?" He knows we're having fun solving puzzles, maybe to the point where we're forgetting all about Eric..

The hostile take over things seems to be the task cos he talk in plural... we are involved on that... and thats our task.

That code only brought me a headache... dunno where to start...

Oh, and licoricesniper, you should definitely be able to find a hotel with wifi in Austin (I assume Texas). I'm currently visiting my girlfriend in her hometown, which is in the middle of Iowa, and I'm staying in a Super 8, which obviously has wifi. If you can find wifi at a Super 8 in the middle of Iowa, you can find it at any hotel.

haha very true. I guess a lot of restaurants these days have it too. I know IHOP has it, and even the Burger King's in my area have wifi.

Like I said before though, I'm just worried about not having time to log on and see what's up. That would be a major bummer.

And as far as the "putting on our shoes" thing, I am so excited to see what he means. I emailed him and told him that I love field trips! At this point I would go pretty much anywhere for the hell of it. I have a car with great gas mileage and a boss that lets me take off pretty much whenever I want for whatever reason, so I am raring to go!!!! Plus, if it would have to do with meeting some of you guys I would be all about it! Razz

yeah I am going to shoot it over to my friend to see what he thinks. He's really good at that kind of stuff. I keep trying to get him to sign up to the forums and join us, but he wants to lurk for a while. I told him he needs to though because he would be a valuable asset to our group.

And hey, the CM is always talking about adding new people, right?

Anyway, I'll send it his way and see if he comes up with anything.

Michael wants someone to post the whole letter you got there. He thinks we are holding out on him. I can post it if you want me to, but its your call as you got the clue.

Which letter? The one I posted the other day?

I don't have an account on FET. I tried to make one forever ago but it messed up and I never got around to doing it again. I suppose I can though. I'll go over there and see whats going on.

Impressive.

My gift to you was sent on Jun 6, 2007 at 3:51 PM.
You sent the solution on Jun 7, 2007 at 2:06 PM.

Just within 24 hours.

That is all the time you'll have to complete my task when phase two officially begins. Consider this a training exercise, with the goal being to create a team of individuals able to work together and respond to challenges nearly instantly - like the Army Special Forces, if you will. You'll need these skills for what's coming next, and what's coming next will only be harder.

So you're ready for "the big show" now?

That's rather brazen of you. You don't even know what "the big show" is yet. Well, in exchange for you efforts, I will give you some answers:

Phase two will begin in two videos, if all goes according to plan.

The first video, which is almost complete, will be about motive and recruitment.

The second video is when we strike.

The strike will last for a few weeks.

When it's over, some of you will need to put your shoes on.

And one more thing I want to address now:

I believe an individual calling himself Tom D. Cesear has been in contact with some of you. I've been trying to ignore this individual, but he refuses to go away. Let me state, for the record, that Tom D. Cesear is NOT me, he does NOT know anything about me, he does NOT know anything about my plans, he is simply a liar who wants to pretend he's a part of this and disseminate misinformation, and it would be in YOUR best interest, and Eric's best interest, to ignore him completely.

Codemaster Smile

p.s. - reading carefully is is a good thing

I tried to decipher it but the closest I got to it saying anything were a bunch of extra letters with "twenty four hours"

humm maybe we can solve yalls way ...I got mad and started a brute force cracker on it it has been running for about an hour ... It may take it days to crack the program. If I could remember where I downloaded I would put it on my laptop and let it run ... its slowing the crap out of my main puter. I don't like to post things other people recieved as I don't want credit for anything thats not truly mine ...Thats why I asked... Blessed how did you figure out what cypher it is ?? and is there some kind of decrypter???? I suck without a program to bust the code. I can't even do a substitution cypher with a program that teaches you how to decrypt them..

I'm at http://rumkin.com/tools/cipher/ and the rail cipher isn't giving me anything. I'm trying their skip cipher and if I bypasss the first letter and skip 29, I get

hourswasntachoicehruofytnewttni

Going with what licorice said, maybe it's "twenty-four hours wasn't a choice"?

EDIT! If I run the extra letters through the skip cipher, if I don't bypass any letters and skip 14, I get "hinttwentyfour"

Eh I am not really bellyaching about it. It probably would have been better coming straight from me as far as Michael is concerned but its already done and besides, I was having problems registering anyways.

It could very well be that.
