newbie

Hi, I'm new here and I have a small question. Is Marty {th3spian} part of the BG game {a character in the BG}? I whent to his myspace and RuMi picture was in there. Is he really a director/actor or is he using that to lure girls or victims? Thank you for your time. Wink

Ello all, been lurking for a while, trying to make sure i know the gist of everything. I do think something is going to happen soon...the question is when because the span of time between clues is more than killing suspense

BTW I didn't see it mentioned before but if it has, go ahead and correct. Anyway I read through all of Eddie's vid comments on youtube and another guy other than excommunicateme said he knew him.

It says nothing else there, just thought I'd add something and not be useless right now Very Happy

A thought....

Hey folks...

I've been lurking on this since the original BG thread was less than ten pages long (and as such I'm actually familiar with most of what's been going on!). Stopped watching for a couple of months and came back yesterday to find the game almost at a standstill, a tad disappointing. Sad

However, I thought I would add a few thoughts in hopes of rekindling some interest.

The bit right now that sticks out like a sore thumb to me is the reference to the Twelve Gates that we need to allegedly 'open'. So far the only clues we really have is that there are three in each cardinal direction.

However, there have been a couple of references to several different locations in the US. New York is the most prominent, where the game SEEMS to be centered. Video six gives a rather blatant reference to San Fransisco (the golden gate bridge image).

Perhaps it's coincidence that New York could almost be considered cardinal 'North' and San Francisco is cardinal 'West' if you use the US as a metaphoric compass face.

The more recent Youtube video with the magician also makes mention of 'Sweet Charlotte'... Charlotte, NC, perhaps, which would be basically cardinal 'East'. Bit of a longshot as it's a vague reference, but it's a thought, and might not be entirely coincidental.

South... well, the only reference I recall that might fit that bill would be the really old reference to the military base in Sarasota, FL. But that's almost more of a Southeast than a South. Wink It's possible that if there /is/ a fourth city to the cardinal 'South', it may not have been officially revealed yet until we solve the other clues.

Only other thing I wanted to mention was that I don't believe that the number sequences in the very first video were ever solved... the sequence that went (according to the wiki) 21, 15, 96, 72, 84, 13, 35, 3?, 67, (34).

I have a feeling that this is somehow very significant... given that the same numbers were written on the scratchpad that Eddie used as a timeline on bristelgoodman.com, hinting rather heavily at their importance.

Just thought I'd throw a few ideas to get gears churning again. Shame that RJ turned out to be a jacker, he certainly seemed to generate a great deal of interest around the game for a short time. Perhaps if things get moving again I may post a bit more frequently.

Hmm...

Was bored and watching the videos again...

Noticed that during the beginning of Video 4, as he was starting to talk about his experience with the cocaine and the cop and his buddy, he mentioned that they were in South Carolina at the time.

Given what I mentioned above... possible coincidence, or...?

Hehe, that's been my experience from the beginning. It's fun to check in from time to time, though. Click on news, check out goodman and the pet, check out the movie guessing game, etc... Good times.

Someday, with luck, I'll grab a conclude-able trailhead.

Dunno

Such a dull time to be a lurker, the PM must be hibernating..

For some must watch, while some must sleep

I have to say, I dont ever remember the board being this quiet before Sad There was always someone posting ideas, or something.
I might do a FAQ if I get chance, its something to do, and it might give other people something to do too, and to add too.
Although the silence from the PM is nothing to worry about, thats actually normal Laughing
I miss everyone! /lame

the silence is not good I keep going back over two things the number clue we have not solved from the first video and Netthreats talking about a one time pad being the key. I know (gut instinct) tells me they are related but how to decipher a one time pad is pretty damn tough.

Just a thought...

I'm kind of new to this whole ARG thing, but has anyone tried making a tie in with the fact that Bristel (Bristol) and Goodman, Has something to do with Nascar Races?

...Bristol is one of the races i believe, and the race was sponsored by Goodman. for a few years.

Also, i might want to put in that i just recently found out about the bristelgoodman ARG through a friend, and knowing how fast ideas fly and pass by in forums i'd just like to point out that much like the ironwheat/NoraWhite persona, mayhaps BristelGoodman (I.E. Nascar)

might have some tie in with said missing girl?

after all, sometimes it's the easiest things that catch us off guard.

another first video idea
code

Im very new to the whole ARG family so be patient with me if i dont fully understand how this works. I was thinking about the first video and i noticed that in the video she asks about a 9 letter word, DOMINATED. I was also noticing that the code that hasnt been broken also has 9 combinations of numbers. It was posted on a "findings" page from netthreats.org that one time pads are most often still used in "listening stations", which is a robotic voice repeating numbers/letters that only certain listeners would catch. The code was being repeated by a robotic female voice. Could this be just a happenstance? If someone has already thought of this idea then please let me know. Also, could the codes be broken up not into pairs but singles somehow related to each other? These are just a few of my thoughts, could be completely offbase!
