Someone did call me 4hrs after the start of the game and I have received a email from the marketing co that is working this and there will be another game on the 2nd. so it does not matter if you think I am lying I know its for real.

So you expect us to believe that you have already met the requirements of sending your documentation? You're not a finalist until you complete their terms and conditions - and we all know about the final email being sent out June 2 to the finalists from each country - again, we read the terms and conditions - Get a life

 		Not that I believe any of these people. However, I would like to point out that Volvo did say, and i quote "The Potential Finalists will be notified by telephone and/or email ON OR ABOUT May 31, 2007." So that could mean that calls will be placed today, although I doubt it, you never know.....

We'll find out soon enough:)

Not saying that I think they were notified, just saying that y'all may want to be close to your phones later today...

The game hasnt officially ended stop with the Oh I am a semifinalist routine. We are not as dumb as you are we have read the terms and conditions so get a grip!

I had posted an earlier msg but didn't know I had to be a member to get it submitted.

ANyways, the jist of the msg was why somebody couldn't have had the right answer even though they claimed to get a call from Volvo.

Perhaps most of you dropped the idea of The Hunt right after the last contest, so you didn't hear about all the scams and swindles that occurred because of it. Hundreds of people got calls supposedly from Volvo congradulating them and having a way with words, got people to give personal information which ended up costing them a collective fortune when their identities were stolen and bank accounts compromised.

Seriously ...do you really think Volvo would leave themselves open and take the chance that someone in one country would 'spill the beans' before other regions had a chance to solve the puzzle legitimately?

So...I assume that one could try and sell the location to someone in another country if all the results wren't in yet.

Be safe people....Dont get fooled....don't give out personal info....and lets wait until the 31st (when Volvo is sure all regions got the right code legitimately).

BEWARE!!!

Folks, I work for Volvo Cars North America, and would encourage everyone to keep trying. There are no official reports of anyone being a semi-finalist yet. Notifications will begin when sufficient time had been elapsed to reasonably expect regional winners came across the results legitimately.

Also ...again...BEWARE....marketing scams and telemarketers are also free to participate, read and follow blogs, get names and e-mail addresses, and even phone numbers from member lists (thanks to plenty of people listing their real names and saying where they live...especially in the US. Have you seen anyone saying "HOORAY" from other regions?....no..because they aren't as free with personal info.

Let it be know also that documented cases of persons misleading and misdirecting other entrants will result in that person not being qualified for next years event.

While I agree with your sentiment, Dixie, here is where your credibility falls apart for me. If you truly worked for Volvo you would know there is only one worldwide start and stop time. Different regions will not "come in" at different times. There is a window, a period of time, that is regardless of the hours on the clock face. No one on the planet has a time advantage. It is not possible for one region to have more time to solve than another.

Grrrrr. Why do folks have to lie? What is it about these games that brings this trait out?

Dixie, as a Volvo worker, can you answer if all of pretenders will be notified of results or just winners will?
Will the correct solution be published?
and finaly is there any chance to cancel a previous answer-message (wich is undoubtedly wrong) and send another one, more solid and thought through? Shocked

 		I think at this point, it might be best not to take anything anyone says without a grain or two of salt until there is some sort of official public statement from Volvo. Just saying. Smile

That said, dixie's advice to be especially careful of scammers is something that's always good to keep in mind.
