With regard to the Parrot thing... Any of you tech gurus out there? Does
http://www.parrotcode.org/ maybe have something to do with the Akarm directory or any of the codes? I have no idea what it's about but could it mean something to discovering certain verbage or codes within the site?

Highly, highly doubtful.

Sometimes a bird is just a bird, folks. This game has not been that difficult. It's really more of a sweepstakes than a contest. Compared to other puzzle games and ARGs, the codes, puzzles and stuff in this game has been fairly straightforward.

I agree with the idea that the red parrot is really just another red herring.

sonya's blog

When she was at the coffee shop, someone stole something about her work from her. ("I guess I'm so used to being in an office, I can't be in my home for too many hours in a row so I take my work to the coffee shop.") The fish guy was a distraction.

 Now to save Andrew...
Put it all together!

(I finally signed up and I posted earlier but it was lost somehow!)

Ok...welcome back Grinder! (From what I've seen the last couple of days, Grinder and DJ have it going on!) Very Happy

Instead of speculation about "what if" and bringing up things that have NOTHING to do with anything (again, just red herrings), why don't we put together what we KNOW and see what we have?

I'll go first, since I've managed to answer every day's puzzle but I still don't know much, I'm kind of running in place...does this emoticon work? hehehe Flaming Nutter

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Hint on Andrew's phone: Akarm Security. Meaning? He is being held by: Akarm Security or in an Akarm Security holding or held by a former Akarm Security person - leads me back to Caluori, whose sister was a guinea pig for the new cold vaccine that has turned bad. True? The same man that shows up at the press conferences, shouting fraud. My assumption? He had a hand in the kidnapping OR it is because of his knowledge that he gave to Andrew that LEAD to the kidnapping.

I think we should take each hint we've been given - ONLY the hints we've been given - and try to make something from just those hints for now before moving ahead.

What do you think?

(My name is Deb)

 Frank Calouri's sister

I apologize if this has been asked. I've been reading every post and don't recall seeing it.

How do we know that Frank Calouri's sister was a test subject for FreeVire?

Maybe someone should put some type of vote together and we can vote on who we think dunnit and where we think he is.

I know I wouldn't mind seeing the results of something like that.

I agree, we should take a vote.

Personally, I think that he's held at one of Zendorel's estate holdings, by Grant Tenbrook, or at least some people he hired to do it for him, to scare away anyone from telling about freevira's negative long term effects, so that stock prices don't plummet before he completely sells off his stock.

Actually, you all have INCENTIVES not to give any CLUES or HELP or HINTS because I can you show PROOF that there aren't that many people participating so sharing any help is foolish. What's the proof I might add?

On Sonia's blog you can see how many people have "Seen her profile". Right now is at around 14,272. But guess what, it has to be lower than that because the "counts" add up everytime you look at the page even with the same ip address, so theoretically there could be as many as 10,000 currently participating. That number can dwindle down dramatically when the puzzles get harder.

Here's the link to show I'm not kidding

AND...

At the final puzzle when you submit an answer it won't say "You got it!" because they'll wait two weeks to get back to you so guess what, there won't be any real sharing of answers so it makes NO SENSE to share right now when it's your advantage to NOT TO SHARE.

I suppose he could be right. I would definitely not want to win $100 for myself when I could have the pleasure of seeing someone else win the whole $25,000. Silly me for being so darned selfish and short sighted. lol.

but seriously...is this person endorsing that we don't try because we won't know right away in the end....and further that we don't try if there are too many close competitors at the end?!

Let's keep on the throttle!

Polls

Ask and ye shall receive.

I started a poll for the "Who Done It". I'll do one for Location.

These are specific threads where we can all discuss our thoughts and our specs about these topics.

It's time to start using the different threads, and not keep gumming up the main trail head. This long winded thread is getting too worn out.

We have threads set up for each day of the puzzle.
We have threads set up for discussing the addresses on the Zendorel site.
We have threads set up to talk about Sonia & what's on her blog.

Hey folks, let's use them!!! Open up the forum here http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/index.php?f=222 and take a look around!!! Add to the other threads.

And we'll close this one down cause it's way too long.

HUGS!!!!

[edit - for those who with to continue the long single thread conversation in circles (and promise to leave the bickering behind, HERE is Part 2 - kona]
