Re: Where Andrew is being held question

I noticed this in the ransom vid yesterday, and have read the entire thread, but don't think I saw anyone mention it. (If so, sorry to repeat, but maybe I got bleary eyed.)

My first instinct was it could be a submarine because it sounded like an enclosed metal space, the roundish door, and the type of light in background.
I thought it could be a hatch.

But how likely is a submarine? I can't even figure out what state it is. The temp never changes in this town according to the Daily Voice lol.

I looked at the forecast too and figure it's maybe north east, but that's a guess.

Anyway, did anyone else think the ransom vid sounded like it was in a big tank or something similar?

The thought occurred to me after viewing the tape where they were holding Andrew and then watching the live security feed that maybe they're holding Andrew inside Akarm's basement? That might account for the metal sound *shrugs*

New Puzzle Time?

I thought I saw it once, but can't find it now. Does anyone know what time the new puzzle is released each day?

i dont think that its in a submarine cus we have to give an address of where hes being held. and also i have a suspicion on what state he is in
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
if you look in the bottom left corner of the banner you see the letters PA, which is the abbreviation for Pennsylvania. That is my guess, but I could be wrong.

game

just a funny observation... when you mouseover everthing but the picture of the older couple on the AKARM website, the ALT text says "Happy Smiling People", but the older couple it says "old people".

just thought that was funny.

Norm, I agree, having the UnFiction regulars 'play' this game is like sicking the Navy Seals on the little girl next doors' lemonade stand.
Kinda feel sorry for Applebees/CourtTV/Suzuki in a way.

Re: Clues from the future!
What do we 'really' know?

I love watching the veterans absolutely destroy this game (solved 3 days before it launched... that has to be a record) but this isn't a normal ARG in that there's stuff that happens at a prescribed time in the game chronology and also because the pupet masters didn't really realize what they were getting into and allowed a bunch of stuff to get out when it shouldn't have.

That being said, it would be nice if, when you post, you could say whether you are using only information that's supposed to be currently available or if you're using stuff there's no reasonable connection to, yet.

Like I said, normally all this stuff in fair game and in play, but in this situation it's making it difficult to tell if I've totally missed something or if I'm right where I should be and you're using information from the future.

I'm not saying don't do it, I love watching you guys apply your normal ARG intensity to (what so far has been) a simplistic exersize in basic puzzle solving. I'm simply asking that, when you post about information outside of the given chronology, just say so.

I agree they have gotten far, but no one has solved the whole thing yet. remember in order for it to be solved you have to know who kidnapped him and where he is.

Actually, the final video (Day 9) revealed who the kidnapper was, and the Day 8 video makes the location fairly easy to figure out. We just don't know all the steps leading to that answer since some of it relies on stuff that's not out there yet.

So it was solved before the game launched. Just not in a satisfying way.

DJTAZ try to make sure you don't have a space in the begining or the end. that was my problem one time. I copied and pasted but I had a space in there and it wasn't taking it

yeah I thought I made it clear I didn't think my first instinct was right and was trying to focus on the metal sound lol not that I actually thought it was a sub. I guess I wasn't clear enough.
