Been looking through the AKARM site and my lack of sleep led me to realize that in the word AKARM is the word KARMA. Perhaps Andrew did something wrong to the company and had what was coming to him? Yeah you don't have to say anything, that was stupid and I need to go to bed.

Videos
savemyhusband videos

Did anyone manage to save or copy the videos by some means? They appear to be gone now?

Also, I saw this site on some marketing specialist. She stated on her site that someone had hacked into the videos but "they fixed that now". This could explain why we can't view them anymore. Any new information on where they could be?

Is there any way to get into the puzzle clues before they're posted daily?

This is what I have found From the Detective on the case:

"I have a hunch that the killer and the person who is behind all of this is an employee of Akarm Pharmaceuticals, but I don't have any employee fingerprints. Will keep you posted"... anything new on that?

I was unable to copy the videos while they're still up--still haven't figured out the best/easiest way to do that...

And yes. The videos are currently locked down--before, you could change the url to access them and the site admins forgot to restrict permissions on them. They're still there, only non-admin users no longer have access, and there's no easy workaround for that. So you'll have to be patient.

As for the fingerprints, Jabroni already provided us with a link to the fingerprints page with pictures of employee fingerprints.

This is a cool site... I must have been living under a rock because I would have loved to take part in ARG's, but didn't know they existed... ...until now.

Anyway, you guys are way ahead of the curve on this stuff, obviously, but I wanted to add that when you put in the number on the fingerprints (in the dialog box at the top), it tells you to whom they belong.

Hi everyone! I'm new to this so please bear with me. I hope I've posted this correctly. I tried posting this earlier but kept receiving an error message.

On the fingerprints page(provided by Jabroni), if you place any of the numbers corresponding to the prints in the box, it brings up the name of the employee it belongs to. (as Kristie also noted)

The fingerprints of a former employee, Frank Caluori, are also there. Sonia mentioned him in her email - "By the way, the Akarm receptionists told me that Frank Caluori had worked at Akarm until recently, and his sister was a volunteer as a test subject for Freevira."

In the messages, the last one on Day 8 from the Detective Kinlan to Max says the following:

We managed to get a clean fingerprint off of the murder weapon we recovered. You can post it onto your site. It doesn't match anything we have on record in our database, but the database only includes individuals who have an arrest record. I have a hunch that the killer and the person who is behind all of this is an employee of Akarm Pharmaceuticals, but I don't have any employee fingerprints. Will keep you posted.

Will we be presented with the fingerprint of the kidnapper and have to match it to one of the employees?

Having not seen the videos before they were hidden I have a couple of specs:

1. Andrew knows that the drug doesn't work and wants some money (so he set up the kidnapping himself) - but that is too complicated for this ARG - I think they are going to keep it straightforward - for the masses. However, if this was an ARG for the uF audience, we'd definitely see some sort of twist like this at the end.

2. Something happened to Frank's sister, so he is getting revenge on Andrew (and money). Probably turns out he will be the guilty party.

3. So many people will get the final answer, we'll all get our prize as an Applebee's gift certificate (like $20). Laughing

Maybe it's just bad acting but Christina and Max don't look very distraught to me. And as for the videos...

I'm just curious as to why they wouldn't secure their site better.

HOW TO HELP SAVE MY HUSBAND:
My son Max and I will post videos on this site and email or text you clues to get you pointed in the right direction.
Make sure your SPAM filters will accept emails from addresses that end in "@savemyhusband.com" and "akarmcorp.com"! You might need to add "christina@savemyhusband.com" to your contacts. If you don't hear from us, check your junk mail folder!
Every time Max or I post a video on this site, we'll send you an email to let you know.
Each day, we'll put aside one main task for you to complete.
To complete the main task, you'll have to come back to this site and enter the solution to whatever problem you were given.
Except for the final answer, I'll let you know right away if I think you got it right or not.
If you get it right, I'll send you an email the next day or sooner with a new video, but if you get it wrong, I'll try and help you catch up.
If we get any additional information throughout the day (clues, hints, new developments, etc.), we'll send you another email or a text message if you signed up for those.
In addition to the main tasks, you'll definitely benefit from snooping around the sites we send you for added research.
By the end of the next 8 days, hopefully you'll be able to help determine:
1. Who is behind Andrew's kidnapping?
2. What's the exact where location he's being held?
All the information you'll need will be on this site or the other sites we send you to.
Eligible players who enter the correct answers to the final problem in the allotted time will split the reward money I put aside: $25,000.00.
If you start late (up until "Day 7") you can still have the opportunity to catch up and win the reward! You'll be able to see on the homepage where you are in relation to the rest of us in the investigation. We'll send you the next piece of the puzzle as soon as we can to help you catch up.

Quote:
You will only be able to submit your answer to each of the puzzle pieces for Day 8 twice after which you will be deemed to not have correctly answered this puzzle. Day 8's puzzle will consist of two (2) parts. You will need to determine the name of the person responsible for the kidnapping and identify the address where Andrew Goodis is being held You will then need to enter these two pieces of information by following the directions provided by 6:00 a.m. on June 12, 2007. You will be notified via email within two (2) weeks following the end of the Challenge Period with respect to whether you answered Day 8's puzzle correctly and solved the mystery. Answers to Day 8's puzzle must be received by 6:00 a.m. ET on June 12, 2007 to be eligible for the prize.

Potential Winners will be notified by email on or about June 26, 2007. Potential Winners may be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and, where lawful, a publicity release within seven (7) days of date of issuance.

PRIZE: $25,000 cash to be shared equally among all verified and eligible Winners (awarded as a check). No more than a total of $25,000 will be awarded, regardless of how many Winners are determined.

Do you think there's some reason that Satchelton Funeral Home is in all-caps in the obits (the one other funeral home mentioned wasn't) All I tried was googling it, with no results.

I think that we are all reading way to much into this. If this is for the general public, do you think that the clues will be very simple and easy to figure out once we recieve them? Looking at all the spoilers and other information, it seem such.

I think that if they are giving away $25,000 for this SPLIT between whomever gets it, it might not be that easy to solve and that straightforward. Especially since if 25,000 people solve it, all they each get is $1 Wink

Some funny things I noticed...

From the Voice Daily News:

Quote:
Edmunts claims her book of CDs were valued at three thousand dollars. After stifling their laughter, the police took the report and issued a curfew for the neighborhood.

Quote:
Police arrested Gary Draket, 42, of Gibsonwich after several motorists reported that Drake was standing in the middle of traffic with a shopping cart. When police arrived on the scene and stopped traffic, Drake was making engine noises with his mouth, pretending the grocery cart was a vehicle and urinating on himself. Police said they smelled alcohol on his breath.
Police have no idea what to charge him with, but are thinking about starting with drunk driving, theft and public urination.

Just wondering, where did you find this site? I'd like to check it out.

Also, I didn't really "hack" into their system. It was a kind of obvious numbering of the folders.

 What fun Are spoilers???

Not to step on any toes but y would we want spoilers and such for the game. i happend on this site while researching for the game itself... I think the whole idea of it is just to have fun and figure it out. of course working together is great but to actually somehow manage to get stuff we arent even supposed to see yet makes me wonder if they wont disqualify people for knowing it or even using it's resources.

I think there is alot of great theroies on here and my family and i agree with alot of them. just some worries i have about the spoilers ......
