Too Easy?
Maybe the PMs just know how to pull the strings

Personally I don't believe anything has been left up "accidentally"...

Think about it - do the following phrases strike a chord with anyone? Red Herring, Set up, Hide in Plain Site???

Seriously - as is evidenced by the changing items (passwords, pages etc), the PMs are not nearly as idiotic as some would like to think. I think they are playing US. Ask yourself; with all the $$$ behind this, why would they make it so simple that 25,000 people could easily solve it?? That simply isn't logical.... as another IT person (The Grinder) pointed out, they likely purposely made it appear easy - 10 bucks says they are suckering us though!

I suspect that while they have us running in circles chasing our own tails (feeling like we are so much smarter than them...) the important clues may be zipping right past us. I feel it's time to take a step back from being the puppets we are (obviously) and go a little deeper. There is likely MUCH more to this than meets the eye... jmho

Too easy??
I agree completely

My thinking has been the same! With all the site info about characters, companies, locations, etc, the questions seem to be awfully mundane. I keep getting the "Great Job!" e-mails, but keep thinking that surely there must be more to this than is out here. Is it just a sweepstakes in disguise?

Too Easy...nah

Anyone remember savevegas? It was the viral ad for ubisofts Rainbow 6 Vegas game. The company (ubisoft) denied any affiliation, but it was all just a ploy to promote the game.

I think the things everyone is finding out in this game are SUPPOSED to be there...thats what makes it more interesting.

JMHO

Thanks, Jon B. Just so I'm sure, we are NOT supposed to know this yet then? I emailed Christina asking for her usual password, and assuring her of my trustworthiness, no reply yet!

not that i'm totally disagreeing with you, but i have played a few of these contests before, and they are MUCH harder!! (PUSH, NV or Murder in small town X. Anyone??) Both of those games had cash prizes and i'd say the puppetmasters did a dang good job keeping you guessing.Almost every business mentioned had a website, the fake towns had maps, heck of a lot better....I'm hoping this is more of a "test" game and they come back with something insanely tough! I like using my brain!!!
Anyway, im still having fun and im loving all you guys on this bored!!
You kick a$$!

new clue?
new text msg

Hope this posts correctly - I am new and already posted on the wrong board by mistake

A few minutes ago I got a new text message from the detective and in it he uses the word gr8. Do you think this is a password or clue, or just texting for great. Thanks.

second password

I've emailed christina for her password. No reply yet, but andrew states for HER to use HER usual password, so what's taking this ding-a-ling so long to "figure" it out? Since the password I can trust you was changed to so i can be safe, it's obvious that they are changing what was posted earlier and doling out clues daily so working ahead is almost irrelevant it seems....You would think the outlandish duet trap in some form would be relevant to this password, no other reason to bring it up as yet, but i've tried every variation i can think of including wedding dates etc! no luck yet....

Sonia email

Okay, so I sent an email to sonia.haswellSPLATakarmcorp.com. I have my read receipt on on my email program so it sent me a notification that it was read. It said it was read by Daniel Shaw at dshawSPLATdeep-focus.net.

I went there and one of the clients listed on deep-focus.net is court tv. think that could help at all...or were they just being sloppy?

In re-watching the video I noticed a few things

1. Could the metallic sound be from one of those big shipping crate things or a self-storage place? That might also explain the step-up through the door.

2. I didn't think the ceiling looked like a drop ceiling... but I also don't think that a submarine would have hanging lights like the one above Andrew.

3. The kidnapper said he was "hired to do a job but decided to change the date" am I just hearing this wrong? Is it "game"?

lol first of all, again, I didn't think it WAS a sub, I just used that as an example of the sound that was metallic. But I did just go back and look. It's not a door at all. It's the electrical conduit that leads to the light that runs straight along the corner where a hall wall meets the ceiling then across the ceiling to the light in the middle of the celing. Still not a drop ceiling. But does sound metallic still. So it's not a door at all.

Long and narrow and metallic does sound like a shipping container, but they don't have lights--I guess it could be rigged as such though.
