Cinema
Address

If it is the cinema, will it be enough to just specify that? Or do we need to locate the address of the cinema? If so, has anyone found resources for that address?

Locations
Could be any one...

Truth is, the people who make the game can say it is any location they wish...examining the videos closely, etc. isn't enough to rule out any one building...as it could be something built recently, or something 75 years old.

They could sayit is Akarm's service hallway...the cinema basement...the funeral home...or a warehouse loading dock. You can easily explain away conduit, light fixtures, etc.

Seems like the main thing that needs to make sense is that it has to be somewhere not accessible to the general public on a regular basis, or they run the risk of being found.

That's why I lean towards the closed-down cinema.

Save My Husband game

I finally got the password to work. Even though two numbers may have worked I think there should have been only one correct one.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
A_ _ LE_E_ _
PP B ES
15 + 15 + 5 + 16= 134
using 4 for Be would be wrong as B is by itself and then you have Es for 99. This is just my opinion.

possible locations...

Hasn't anyone other than me wondered if he could be stashed away in the bootleggers basement?

Are we just going in circles here???

I AGREE in fact I think the Cinema idea is the best so far. If you look at the article in the newspaper

"The Wellrock Cinemas have been open for 16 years and a recent donation push brought in over 25 thousand dollars to be put towards renovating the old structure that stands in the heart of town". Is it just a coincidence that a "RECENT DONATION" brought over 25 THOUSAND DOLLARS (same prize money)... Who was the donation from?

Man... personally I think this is worth pondering!

Yeah but they raided that place. I would have thought they would've been discovered.

Location
Hmmmmmm

I was looking at pics again and I think the cinema may have been too good to be true.. The hallway is very narrow, how many theaters have narrow hallways like that, not even old ones. The funeral home is much more reasonable. The grading of the floor is conducive of a underground morgue. THey need to roll the bodies in on stretchers.

The walls are more acceptible in a funeral homes as well. Shiny, almost wipeable. The acoustics seem to fit too. The lighting, well, let's not even touch that for fear that comment will create riots in this forumn. The "window" or whatever it is could be in fact, an observation window looking into the holding area for the bodies. (Hey, I've never been dead, nor have I ever been downstairs in a funeral home, I can't tell you what goes on down there!)

Bootleggers
Location

Only thing about that is, article says police raided their home last night (including collecting hot water boilers from the basement). So, how could Andrew still be there? Unless they stowed him away somewhere before the police arrived.

Again, anything's possible with the right editing. He could have been with them in the basement and before police got there, kidnappers were tipped off and stuck him in one of the boilers (empty one...) that the cops think are full of whiskey.

(or maybe he drank enough to give himself 22hrs of breathing room). Razz

But it could be the basement of the theatre. Basements can have narrow places...maybe leading to a storage area of some sorts? Why would you stay on the main floor/area...that doesn't sound logical. (IMO)

i keep going back to the
[SPEC]SATCHELTON FUNERAL HOME[/SPEC]
i dont know why but it draws me back everytime i would love to know who owns or operates it but i do know there is something about it that stands out

[edit - let's use the spoiler tag just for the puzzle answers - post your SPEC out in the open; spoiler tag is used to cover the answers for puzzles for people who want to do the work themselves - if you have a spec to share, covering it with a spoiler is a waste of time - Thanks! - kona]

if you watch the kidnappers 1st video (not the kidnapping vid itself.. but the 1st one they taped) you can see a reflection of the light on the "door"... so the possibility of it being a vent is ruled out. think it could be an elevator door?

You mean like a dumb-waiter type of thingy???

that could be.. although it does look like a full size door in the kidnappers 2nd video where you can actually see a lot of the frame (height wise).

ha. just noticed something else. in the video of the kidnapping if you look carefully just after the vid is put up in the top right corner when they go around the curve something is thrown out of the van.

I think it is Andrews phone, didn't they say in the future messages that his phone was found with the numbers 25276 73287489.

If you take these numbers and use the site @ http://www.t9.com/ , you get 'alarm security', does that help in any way?

Yes They discussed that way back in the forum, I was just offering a suggestion without going over the whole thing

Hiding Place

I just cannot believe that the kidnappers would stash Goodis inside a functioning business. How do you film a ransom video and hide a tied up adult without the employees asking "Why's the kidnapped guy in the hallway? "
