And I feel cranky so let me say that while #1 and #3 look very cool and very Indiana Jonesy, #2, #6 look awfully generic. #4would have been fine but it has that rather ancient mysterious SET OF DICE in the middle of it. Hello? What's so sacred, mythic or legendary about A SET OF DICE. They aren't even functional because they're each missing a side. #5 are ok looking but I have yet to get it and see what the heck the object of that one is.

That 7th one better look very cool and interesting or I am going to write a VERY angry letter.

Look at Legend of the King and then look at Carta Blanca. 'Nuff said.

Pillars of Atlantis and Carta Blanca

These arrived (from Amazon) last night.

Pillars of Atlantis is incomprehensible to me. It seems like it might be harder than The Equation. Not only do you have to arrange all of the pillars correctly (similar to the goal in The Equation) but you are not given the "rules" of how to do it in a clear fashion. There are several sizes of pillars. Some have geometrial designs on the bottom (triangles, circles, squares) and others do not. They're just blank. There are numbers on the platform too where each pillar goes. I cannot associate these numbers with anything or understand their order. So it will be very hard, I think.

Carta Blanca seemed quite dull looking at first and inscrutable but after spending some time with it and discovering a bit about its mechanism I think it might be the most subtle and interesting of all of the puzzles so far. I look forward to what you all have to say about this one when you get it.

Equation

I've been trying the equation for 2 months now, still can't get it.

I now doubt it's possible as despite several requests on here no one else has proved they have done it. Many have said they have, some have even said they have found multiple solutions - I've got to say I really don't believe that!!

Has everyone really just skipped this one and gone to the next puzzle?

I have just skipped it for now. I am also a little frustrated that no one who has solved the equation has posted anything further, but I have to say I can't really blame them. I haven't really attempted the pillars yet, I am more focusing on just the passwords now (I've solved all the others). Since I am writing I am going to give my plea...

Solvers of the Equation: Please send us something. Even if it is a photograph of just a key piece's postition (or a couple). I don't really want to ask, but we can possibly help with the passwords. Smile

I truly believe that you need the equation to figure out the password to this! I have ideas, but without the solution to The Equation, I can not complete my theory.

Legend of the King

All I know is that Eire is another name for Ireland

The Enigmatic Temple

Password-Not Solved (Can't enter it into the site anyway. Not available)

Pillars of Atlantis
Puzzle-How do you know when you have it right??? Not Solved
The hint "the opposite always equals the same" refers to a pair of dice. The opposite ends always equal 7. Do not know how this applies to the base or the pillars.
Password-Not Solved

Carta Blanca
Puzzle-Not Solved
I have a feeling that you need to reveal numbers under the Pillars of Atlantis with the symbols on them to give you a clue on how to open Carta Blanca. Assuming you set up the pillars correctly. I know the ruls at wich they want you to set the pillars, but I do not know how to apply "the blueprint (dice)" from the Temple.
Password-???

I hate not solving puzzles on my own, but if anyone has any ideas; especially with The Equation, please let me know. Any insight on The Pillars is also appreciated. I will repost anything I figure out. Good luck everyone!

Equation - 1 explanation of solved puzzle solution
The Equation

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I have solved it (in only 1 way, haven't found the other 3 ways). The solution looks like an L (excluding one black piece)... and the L is located in a corner...

I'm strongly considering turning all of the equation pieces into sawdust. Then they would all fit...every time.

After that I would burn the pillars of Atlantis...just because.

No I don't really want to, but a hacksaw to the Carta Blanca would probably ensue.

I ordered my first set from them about a year ago. I had no peoblems, but also didn't get a shipping statement. It did take about 4 weeks from order to door though.
Send them an email is my advice.

Buying at www.ironpuzzles.com

Thank you for your advise, but I sent an email to the following account:

ordersSPLATironpuzzles.com
csSPLATironpuzzles.com
brianSPLAThippocart.com

and I had a response from "HippoCart.com" <cs> two days ago giving me a ticket number to track the replay from their stuff, but either I have no response from them yet.

All in all, if you say that they didn't send you a email confirming the delivery and at the end you had it four weeks later, I will wait for it too.

 The equation has been solved!
and here is the solution

YES Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I have finally solved the equation, there were a few who claimed to have solved it but where are their evidence? As far as I am concern I am the first to be able to substantiate my claim. Here is my irrefutable proof, I think I deserve the right to gloat for a bit Razz Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

PS have not had time to find second solution but I am sure something else can post it if they did solve it (Yes I am challenging you)
