sacred myths and legends
equation

I feel I have a few pieces of something on getting the 'correct' solution to the equation, but need some help. It involves the 'piece' from the clue and the diagram below the Spanish translation on the scrool.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I traced the lines from the piece of the clue on a piece of paper along with the edge of the square itself. That square was 4" across. I expanded the square to 5" to fit the base of the equation. No pieces seemed to fit the traced lines nicely. So I cropped the 5" picture such that the edge of the new picture was right at the edge of the traced lines, then expanded that picture to 5". BREAKTHROUGH! Many pieces of the equation fit in the lines nicely, but I'm having trouble fitting the rest of the pieces to complete the solution. This 'double' expansion seems to be what the diagram below the Spanish is hinting to.

This felt like an eureka moment, but was short lived. Maybe this new direction will spark someone else's mind and we can make some progress.

Maybe this will get in the right topic this time. I'm new at posting.

The middle block that has the markings on it of my davinci's secret the clue puzzle is different to the one on page 13. It is exactly the same apart from the upside down L in the bottom right corner (mine does not have the small line on top of the larger line, it only has the larger line.

Good observation, Sean! I checked mine and I don't have the small line, as well. I don't know how much freedom this might allow in the final assembly, but any restrictions lifted are a breath of fresh air.
We need some fresh air on the password, too. That has certainly gotten stale!

Maybe you only know if you've got the right solution if the password that you come up with is right.

I apologize for the mistake in that picture. It is my error. Your block is correct. When I photoshopped the picture for posting, I thought there was a line there, but was I was wrong. I photoshopped it at work, while the puzzle piece was at home.

I also kinda gave up on solving it. It would be nice to know the password and solution, but the extra clue you get has been posted way back on an earlier page. I'd love to know how the DaVinci piece fits in. I kinda think when you have everything right, the notch in the piece points to the correct formula, which seems to be needed for the last puzzle.

And also why doesn't someone email infoSPLATfamilygamesamerica.com and ask them to point you in the right direction or give you an extra clue. I can't because my email isn't working.

Not too sure myself. Other forums sometimes don't allow email addresses to be posted. Might have something to do with spammers. Or maybe the AT symbol is cursed.

It's an add-in for the forums that help to keep the nasty email harvesting bots at bay.

There is no point just skipping the equation puzzle because when the last one is released if we havn't solved the equation we canot solve secrets of the pyramids. (That was kinda obvious and I assume everyone already knows that to solve secrets of the pyramids we need pieces from all of the other puzzles).

I didn't know something was needed from each puzzle for the last one. Cool! But at $30-35 per puzzle, I'm stopping at The Equation.

Well that's what I've heard.
