 		Solved the equation
I have solved the equation puzzle as well but can't see how it helps at all with getting a password to type into the website.

Am I correct in thinking that noone has managed to get any of the passwords from any of the puzzles either?

Not me anyway, been solving pretty tough cryptic crosswords for 30 years but these make no sense to me ... yet Wink

How did you manage to get all the pieces in the base. I always have one left over.

 		The more I get immersed in these, the more intriguing they become.

Solving Da Vinci is more than opening the cryptex - that's just the physical side of it, and if you know how combination locks work, the puzzle is loosely engineered enough to solve it by pulling it apart a bit and lining the bits up. The tricky bit comes when you try to work out what the clues to opening it mean, and what the password is.

Similarly, putting the pieces on the base of The Equation (in the correct way Wink - there is more than one solution) is the first part of the puzzle, the second step is using the output of DaVinci to identify the resultant formula, and then solving the password is the final part of the solution after that.

etc. etc. for the other parts no doubt. I assume the fragments of the second required to open the Legend of the King are not physically required - mechanically you can get it open, but part of the solution is figuring out how the parts removed from the second step of The Equation fit into the solution to the Legend ! Then follows the password for the Legend ...

 		I like the way you are thinking dmb. Trouble is I can't help much at the moment. I was also able to get the davinci's secret and the lengend of the king open, but haven't found the right config for the equation or the passwords, but will post if I get anywhere. If anyone wants to help me a bit on the equation I would be grateful. Smile

 		For those who have solved "The Equation"...how much wiggle room is left. Does the puzzle go directly go to the 4 corners of the square??

One of the clues, I believe from the website, says "What was omitted from the Equation is needed for the proper position around the castle" I was able to open the castle with any piece from the equation, but maybe that is what that means?

Overall mine fit in pretty tight. There were a couple of places with a slight space, but you couldn't see anything below the spaces.

Ok, A slight modification to my original solution provided a single block that was free to easily remove and uncovered a single equation I believe this block, not the equation, is the key. Using this block as a pseudo key, I was able to easily open The Legend of the King (Not that I hadn't already opened it...). I still don't see how the piece from DaVinci's Secret told me the solution to the Equation. My solution doesn't look anything like it.

What do you mean by your "one other information" ? Do you mean the letter N shape that the pieces make in the solution ?

I think that you are right about the password not being English. Also, there is an English clue on the Sacred Myths and Legends site that does not appear on the French one:

"Title is of unimportance. Decode the scroll and the password will be clear."

No, although I haven't solved it yet, my pieces cover a slightly smaller area that the base of my puzzle, so they will be quite loose (maybe 0.5mm gap on two sides if they are fitted close to the other two).

 		Just opened my Legend of the King, but it was quite a tight squeeze - the central pillar was almost exactly at the level of the block that comes out, if it had been 0.5mm higher the block would have slid out by itself. Anyone else find this, or should I have found a different combination that would have let the block release easily ?

Unless, it's a design flaw you probably didn't get the REAL solution Smile mine came out very easily once I had the solution. Though I don't know if it matters much. The puzzle was just to release the block. And as far as I can tell the postion of the sliders doesn't really mean anything unless you were using the key from the Equation.
