I definitely don't want to turn you off to these puzzles! Smile I, for one, had a great time with them. Some of them DO have a "Eureka!" moment attached. But, some don't. Some (Pillars) feel more like a math problem where you feel like you need to check your work... hehe.

The second puzzle is arguably the hardest one, so if you decide to give them another chance, you might want to bare that in mind. Smile

Equation - arrgh!

New user here - I was happy with the 'elegance' of the password for DaVinci, and am convinced of the same for Equation.

The original clue is all we were intended to have, so I think it is of the greatest importance. "telescopic vision' is not as it seems... as some others wrote, that implies an 'inversion' of some kind.

Beginning/End implied 1642

So I tried, excitedly, 2461.

I'm still trying Smile

The Equation
New Idea

I tried applying a piece of DaVinci after putting the pieces in the puzzle and looking through the pieces and saw some portions of the formula, The pieces are different depending on which solve you use and what the orientation is, but I when I removed a few pieces I saw 4^2 and C^2, which are the beginnings of one formula and the end of another. Maybe this is what needs to be used to bring us full circle and solve the password. I dont have anything else, but maybe someone else can run with this idea. Let me know if I should try something new.
Also, does anyone have tips for the Legend Password. I am still stuck on it, and I am trying to force myself to solve these two passwords before I commit to buying the second half of the set.
Thanks.

so it recently came to my attention that not everyone is really all that excited about the money they spent on these puzzles.

if anyone has puzzles that they havent opened, that are in good condition, pm me if you would. i'd be interested in releaving you of your eyesore and giving you some of your money back. sounds like a good deal for both of us!

I recently got Legend of the King, and tried to open it using pieces of the Equation.... to no avail.

Next I 'fiddled' (don't want to give away my strategy)

I opened it in a few minutes that way.

Can anyone tell me how you used Equation pieces? Which pieces? I even worked backwards, but couldn't find which pieces 'matched'.

Also, I was so excited to get it opened, that now when I return its contents, I want to make sure I put them back properly. Was it...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Cube under the box, scroll and disc inside cylindrical hole in top of box?

Thanks!

It is:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Cube under the box, scroll and disc and cube inside cylindrical big hole that goes on the bottom side. On the upperside is the little hole with nothing in it

I opened also the tower, but I never found some link between the exact positions to open and the Equation pieces. They simply did not fit...

Equation

I saw some interesting ideas about 4 2 6xP 4 in the last pages.

If 4 2 is 16, the problem seems to understand 6xP 4

What does mean P?
I know it should be language independent (I found a language almost-dependent psw)...

In French, we have: 4! = 4x3x2x1
These are called "Permutations"
Coud P 4 mean this?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
We have 4x3x2x1 = 24, and 6xP 4 = 144
I tried 1644; 16144; 1744; 16,144 (and with dot and space) without success.

I think the first problem is to understand that letter.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Somebody saif P for Planet, P 4 for 4th Planet.
4th planet didn't work.
Somebody talk about the Galileo mission to Jupiter. Did this mission visit various planets on his travel? What was the fourth one?

Thanks for the help, Isidorus!

Even more annoying for the P 4 idea...

If P meant 'Prime', the 4th prime is 7... we are back to 6x7 = 42
..and 1642 Sad((((

Equation
ugh

I solved the puzzle in a number of different ways, but one thing I did notice for the "Look through" clue.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
When you lift out the dark pieces, two portions of two equations shows, it shows 4^2 and C^2, which is the start of one equation and the end of another. I can't figure out what to plug into C, but maybe it is a 16XX date that we havent tried yet.
[/spoiler]

Temple psw
About great explorers

Shirley (or everybody that knows that psw),

I have an idea about Temple psw, but I can't go anywhere.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I searched in the life almost all of the great explorers, and found nobody that returns with only four remaining.

Could you please just tell me if I am on the right way ?

Or does someone destroy somewhere all temples but four...?

Thank you !

Temple Password (SPOILERS)

I won't totally give it away. Suffice to say that the answer is already hinted at in this forum. If you want to see what I mean, read on. (SPOILER ALERT).

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Someone mentioned that there are 4 puzzles left in this series (if you count the final, unreleased one). Someone (me) then responded - regarding the singular of said puzzles.

That is about all I can say without totally giving it away. But I can tell you that you are on the wrong path if you are looking at great explorers.

Good luck! Keep trying... you will get it!

website

Ok, after recently buying the first puzzle I yesterday came across the website which gives you the hints online and where you have to enter the passwords. Stupid as I am I forgot to save it as a bookmark. I spent almost the whole morning to find that site again but no matter what I type into google I just cannot find it! Has someone the link, please?
