bodies

So, ghaleon42420, if you were up and posting at 4:09 AM, Christmas Day, you should have seen Santa heading back north. You could have slipped the dead bodies in his empty sleigh. Check your PMs.

The basement is always good, and a large track of land is good, too. Especially if you have woods. However, the website seems to be down for awhile.

Middle piece of the Clue

Hey all I have solved the first puzzle and just received the 2nd. You all talk about the clue having a disk with engravings on it. Mine has none, could anybody help?

Each puzzle uses a piece from the previous puzzle in some way. You have to figure out which piece of DaVinci, and how to use it. That's pretty vague, but a good start.

Equation and CLue

I have completely taken apart the cryptex disassembled the disks, figured out the clue. None of the disks have any engravings on them. Pretty frustrated, does anybody have a picture of the engravings?

On page 13 of this thread I posted a picture, but drew in the lines because they weren't too clear. The lower right looks like an upside down L, but that was my mistake. It's really a straight line. However, the lines really have no bearing on the puzzle. It's kind of a distraction.

For those who have solved "The Equation"...how much wiggle room is left. Does the puzzle go directly go to the 4 corners of the square??

Overall mine fit in pretty tight. There were a couple of places with a slight space, but you couldn't see anything below the spaces.

Ok, A slight modification to my original solution provided a single block that was free to easily remove and uncovered a single equation I believe this block, not the equation, is the key. Using this block as a pseudo key, I was able to easily open The Legend of the King (Not that I hadn't already opened it...). I still don't see how the piece from DaVinci's Secret told me the solution to the Equation. My solution doesn't look anything like it.

The piece that you pull out of Davinci's Secret Looks like a key. Albeit a very chunky, cubist key, but a key nonetheless. Think that's what they meant.

The middle-most brown block hase some lines engraved on one side (big square side) of the block. have to rotate pieces next to it to notice them.

Broken Enigmatic temple

Just wondering if anyone could help me out. My egigmatic temple seemed to open with very little effort(see spoiler for description)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
All i had to do was rotate the top and remove the two cylindrical pieces on either side. the smaller cylinder which goes up into the top seemed to play no part; it was just free to move.

Does anybody know if this is how this puzzle is supposed to be, or is mine broken.

THANX CHRIS

@chriswhitey,
I don't think it's broken. If you have the King Arthur puzzle, you see a round piece. This is a clue to the Temple.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's the disk that is below that peg in the Temple floor. You can see that it could turn in place, and when it's in the right place, the peg will lower thru the hole.
You happened to miss the fun of figuring out how to open the Temple.

The biggest hint that can be given for Puzzle 4 (Temple) is already on the previous page of this forum.

As for Puzzle 3 (Legend), here is a hint (actually a rather specific one, so if you don't want it spoiled... don't read on):

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The answer is a very specific place. You might have to refer to the original story text to find it.

That's about all I can say without giving it away entirely.

So...has anyone solved the Equation password yet? Smile I think my brain has rested long enough... I might give it another look. (Got distracted with ISIS puzzles for a while. Distracted from a distraction....)

Still Struggling with the psw for Temple. Any other clues would be appreciated. PM me if u like

I have the same problem as Simon: my cryptex has no hidden engravings. I've removed all of the wooden discs and looked at them in good light, and the engravings simply are not there. Anyone else?

Looks like a change in the design of the puzzle, or maybe a faulty production run. You can't miss the engravings on the original disks, they're deep cut (0.5mm ?) and a different colour to the dark brown of the central "disk" (or square).

However, nobody has ever to my knowledge found any use for the engraved design - it doesn't appear to match any solution to the Equation, or have any purpose whatever. So you're probably not missing out on anything other than a decorative pattern.
