Ok, it's probably from the PMs since:

So, I went to the http://chooseyourrevolution.com/einstein.html page. And in viewing the source, noticed a link to Google analytics. This is basically what looks like the "push marketing" branch of google. Checking the official Google-analytics Blog, they will be at SES on June 12. SES is Search Engine Strategies which again, apears to involve pop up Marketing. I could be wrong, but is there a posibillity that we are being used as lab rats? Any thoughts?

The whole brief of the thing reminds me of the Random Acts of Kindness thing, though I know the guy who invented that was British, not American.

There does seem to be a rather high percentage of new posters suggesting surprisingly left-field remarks. I'm fairly new myself, so someone who's been around a bit longer should perhaps comment, but is that usual for a thing like this?

Above is my key; I didn't see anything else on the page... I will be on the lookout though.

Oh and Agent Pink, how did you do your calculations?

Some info on the republic....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyrgyzstan

A pretty unknown country, I'm meaning it's not talked about on the news or anything....So maybe we've found what we were supposed to... someone make a blog post please. I'd like to know if we're on the right track.

Calculations? I don't recall doing any, I was just giving examples of what I've read as peoples keys. You know, type of people from this type of place, etecetera.

OK, stream-of-consciousness post.

I'm fairly certain I tried going to einstein.html a few days ago and it wasn't there...if my memory isn't just messed up (a distinct possibility) it looks like new pages are uploaded after the hints are put up.

I think the list of names / occupations was just a way to establish that we're dealing with smart, successful people here. As for the use of single letter names (the TWITS gang) I assume that's just following through the fictionalization of names used in some older French/Russian novels (I'm thinking Dostoevsky and Camus, specifically). Contacting / harassing suspected TWITters (heh...maybe twitter.com is the website he was talking about) would be of the bad, in my opinion.

As for Google Analytics, you'll see that in the source code of tons of sites--it's used for tracking visitor statistics so the webmaster knows more stuff about us.

The 11327 thing intrigues me. I'd assume SOMEBODY's registered since blaine's post, but it's still at that number (if somebody else registers and it's still at that #, please post to confirm?). At the very least, they must have disabled the auto-increase script.

Am I late to the party, yet?

My code was "Poor Women from Lithuania"

Blog post can be found at flipthefrog.livejournal.com

I'm kind of excited... this is my first ARG I've actually gotten the nerve to participate in.

I would say definitely the PM, since CYR=Choose Your Revolution

Do we know whose keys were used in the new page?

Also, his proof of E=mc^2 is wrong. Don't have the time to analyse it completely, but at very least hbar=mcr isn't right because both m and r are variables(mass and radius) and hbar is a universal constant. I have no idea if that actually matters.

I've not been able to find who got the keys used on the Einstein page. Neither of them are on the list I've been keeping.

I don't think your memory is messed up. I did the same thing after reading the twit.html page, because of the references to e=mc2. Also tried stuff like relativity, physics and other random words, but no joy. I guess we have to wait till the next clue.

Also, when people get a comment on their blogs, could you post a link to it as well as copying the message? Saves having to hunt back through the topic to find one. The messages are being posted to "whoever comes closest to recognizing the patterns and the meaning behind them.", so if we can compare them it might tell us what reasons the pm are looking for.

choose your revolution

I finally gave in and signed up. 11327 is still at the bottom, but the page was kinda wonky and there was nothing at the bottom of the page! Also, how do I post something on my blog when I do not currently have a blog page?

I agree the proof is suspect, .. but he's talking about the angular momentum of a photon, so intrinsic angular momentum (spin) does = hbar for a photon (spin 1). And mcr would be the angular momentum assuming a mass m shell of radius r, spinning at speed of light.

Or something.
