The company without a name I did a quick internet search on a symbols encyclopedia site and came up dry for any info about the symbol shown on the soap and the suits' computers. Anyone seen it before? Also, I feel pretty confident about the spec that Enoch paid Jim's bail. From what we know of him, he just seems like the sort of guy that might live in a jet. Rich intellectual type like that guy from the movie Contact.

Well... this is the list (though not in the exact order) of guesses I tried on that logo doing a google search:
Swiss soap logo, Swiss Omega logo, Swiss gun logo, Swiss airline logo, Swiss aircraft logo, Swiss logo, Swiss Bank logo, Swiss Ouroboros logo, Broken Ouroboros, Swiss Broken Ouroboros, Swiss Ouroboros, Swiss Oroboros (alt spelling), alpha and omega logo combined, alpha and omega symbols combined...
And came up completely empty after peaking at 4-6 URLs under each.
Someone at the Netscape Dialectic sight said it looked like a sight that sharpshooters use. I don't know if this person was alluding to the "Sharpshooters Fallacy" or not... as I stay as far away from guns as I possibly can.

company without a name my thought...(merely as a newbie here)
the symbol signifies the competition to watermark,
watermark represents evil,
evil competes with good,
symbol is the alpha and omega.
prufrock has God on his side.

I'm not sure where all the talk of the alpha & omega is coming from. I don't see either in the symbol.
For those not familiar with greek letters, here's a site that shows them (both upper and lower case): http://www.mathacademy.com/pr/prime/articles/greek/index.asp

I agree Imbri, doesn't look too close to the Omega symbol, allthough if they "moderned" it up, I could make a loose connection I guess...if the symbol dudes are good and Watermark the evil bad guys, it makes me think of Christ saying "I am the Alpha and the Omega" or, of course, "the beginning and the end"...
I dunno...maybe...

Thank God somebody else doesn't see it either. I was beginning to think I was a dumb butt or something. Which I guess is still possible... but I digress.
I can sorta see omega... ?maybe?, but alpha? um, no.
Can anyone out there explain it to me?

I agree with you guys, whoever thought of alpha has a strange way of looking at things. Omega is a possibility but I still feel there's more to it.

Hi, all.
When I threw that stuff into a Google search...
I was just thinking how the "competition" to Watermark...
might want to be the "Be All and End All" of competitors.
You know, the First and the Last and Everything in between...
Sorta like God... Alpha and Omega?
I knew what the symbols for the letters looked like,
BUT...
I thought if somebody were to blend and stylize them,
they might come out looking like the competitors logo.
Of course, the Omega looked like it would lend itself better
to that type of manipulation than the Alpha...
Then it would be like the company was saying that THEY...
were the "dernier cri" or "Last Word" in...
....whatever it is that they and Watermark do.
Omega: Last.
See where I was going with this?
(And I'm not yelling or being sarcastic here:)
NONE OF THAT ALPHA-OMEGA STUFF REALLY MATTERS NOW:
I JUST HAD A V8 MOMENT:
OF COURSE, IT'S A COPYRIGHT SYMBOL!!!!!!
Duh! *smacks self in forehead*
I may not know what the Push "Watermark" company does exactly...
But I know that a Watermark is a method of protecting documents and
artwork, by marking them almost invisibly so they can be traced...
to their origins.
Okay, a copyright does something very similar...
tho' not exactly in the same way as a watermark.
The copyright depends on the honor system to protect such things.
And that doesn't work, the legal system...
Which is, unfortunately, a kind of a clunky, unwieldy arrangement.
Watermarking and steganography...
(the latter of which I know a lot more about...
courtesy only of a mention by Ozy ...and further research)
...do NOT depend on anything outside of their tags or marks...
which become ingrained in the written text or artwork as part of them!
So it would seem that the two are competing systems...
For each of which there are pros and cons I'm sure...
Even though watermarking and steganography are simpler and
more definitely reliable...
Until someone figures out how to counterfeit either of those methods...
Hmmmm...
Did I just circumlocute myself out of a good argument, there?!
In any case, I think a "watermark"'s competition might be stretched...
into the metaphorical world of surrealist TV to being the copyright.
Remember "the Hacker"'s assertion that "information wants to be free?"
Well, maybe, there you have it!
[BTW, don't you all like it better when I don't share quite so much?! ]
Okay. That's it for this 5... or so... minutes.
In the meantime, keep gunning for it...
We'll solve this Push mystery eventually!
pjv
[You want I should go back to being a lurker? ]
PS Thank you, "kglick."

We have all made the connection that DMVF refers to clue....
So has anyone tried to go to www.clue.com?
Look at the C on Clue on that site---Bingo. I tried to e-mail them-infoSPLAT clue.com doesn't work, but used hostmasterSPLAT clue.com and got an e-mail right after about the Euro dollar. Check out the Euro dollar symbol...C with two lines - very similar to the Co. logo....Not sure what the significance of all this is.

That's what I think as well -- Disney keeps coming up -- Disneyland is "The Happiest Place on Earth" -- their compitition would therefore be "The Unhappiest Place on Earth" --
