Frozen Indigo Angel
Opening the floor for comments.

Ok, well it appears that FIA is as good as over now (I could be wrong) and is just a contest now, I had some comments to air so I thought I would open the floor for any other comments, or replies to my views.

I don't know how much more the Paul Denchfield site will help us as it seems to have turned more into promoting a contest for the BBC now.
Looking at the contest page it explains that this WAS a separate ARG to Perplex City and linked into it, NOT the same ARG really. I was hoping that this would end in a nice way, not really as a contest as it has (note this was written in relation to the latest updated but I decided to move it to a separate thread).

I enjoyed the whole FIA thing, being in chat on thursday listening for anything on the radio, only to miss it because I wasn't paying enough attention Crying or Very sad doing some of the puzzles on the FIA website, winning tickets (even though I couldn't use them). Catching up on the story that had been running for a few weeks, etc.

There are SO many more things I want to say but can't really work out how, I'll add things to this thread as I come up with them but I look forward to your views.

Oh, and if it does go on past give aways then I will consider myself wrong about it being over now in terms of the link with Perplex City.

I was utterly shocked to hear that the two sets of events were linked; I hadn't heard anything of FIA before we stumbled our way into the crossing point. (What can I say, I have a domain on these forums I sadly don't leave too often.)

Either way, OOG time:
I'm totally dazzled that Mind Candy went so far. Talk about sudden jump in exposure. Although Season 1 kids, especially the Project Syzygy gang, got a far more personal rabbit hole, I'm happy to welcome a new slew of PXCers (and likely eventual UFers) to the fold. Big ups to the MC Marketing Division on a tie-in that blindsided almost everyone.

Can it top such a big-budget production value in later stunts?
Will it live up to the renewed faith I have in Mind Candy?
How will the new format work and accommodate all the fresh faces?

Guess we'll find out in a few weeks, then, won't we?

Twisted Evil

MOD EDIT - Didn't really need a spoiler as this is a discussion thread, just makes it harder to read Wink Poozle

I'm the same, never really leaving the Perplex City section, even worse for me being a mod here Wink I think the only thing I've been out of here for was Vanishing Point about 4 months ago.

I only ventured out into the wider forums since the end of S1. If I hadn't, I would never have been aware of the original FIA thread.

But it's lovely out there, you know. There are all sorts of other games which I've been lurking in to keep me amused whilst waiting for S2. Not that I'm much use in any of them, but it's nice meeting new people (in a virtual sense at least).

In the recent cubecast (http://podcast.perplexorum.com), they had an out of game interview with Paul Denchfield, in which he discussed that Mind Candy approached him around Christmas, and they ran his blog/twitter etc.

Heh, I followed FIA on account of ARGNet mentioning it was worth following and the fact that I'm intrigued at how far the Beeb is going to go - it keeps paddling in the extended reality sea but never seems to quite get where I want it to go. Frankly I was getting a tad bored. But then I go on holiday, everything collides and I miss most of it except what I saw from an internet cafe while my other half to be was watching the FA cup (I like it when our interests are so synchronised). Still, the holiday was just about worth it, I have an extra shiny thing on a significant finger on the left hand, if you know what I mean Wink Can't wait to see what other surprises they have in store for us.

Congrats PuzzledPineapple Smile

Seems like we could have used you filling in gaps and details that a lot of us missed by not following FIA from the beginning but I found it quite boring even being around at the end, don't know why really though, probably because I knew I'd be away for the end of it so was a bit annoyed by that.

Is it a shiny Pineapple ring?

Congratulations Smile

Pineapple's secret no. 476: I don't like pineapple. It scares me because I have quite a few memories of my dad eating it and it cuts up his gums something terrible. If you've ever seen Fight Club and the scene in the business meeting with the bloody mouth... yuck. So I would have run a mile if significant other had tried that.
