See y'all later

I'm going to take off to make breakfast for hubby. I'll pop back later just to share the good company that's here cause if it wasn't for this crowd I would not have had this much fun. Very Happy

LOL yeah, not even the van they kidnapped andrew with was a suzuki. thats funny. they must have not paid as much

I bet Suzuki dropped out as a sponsor (at least partially) once they found out everything was leaked and the contest was a scam.

What part about this do you think was a scam?? They didn't scam us out of anything! It was all in good fun!

Suzuki & numbers & Stuff

I have a feeling that Suzuki would not have wanted one of its vehicles used in a kidnapping, even a fake one. Bad PR.

My next question is HOW MANY people won? It ought to be interesting to see how many got it right (and even more would be how many got it wrong!)

Any possibility this forum will hang around for the 2 weeks til we find out?

I think Sonia took off after she witnessed the killings and is still driving... and driving... and driving... (Maybe she'll come back after she hears Grant was arrested...)

And what will happen to Bea Rosy and all the other wonderful people like Robert Johnson at Akarm?!

uh... Where have you been? I guess you haven't followed this from the beginning. Read what happened and then make a judgment.

So where was he?

How do y'all know they won't tell for 2 weeks? Grinder - scam? Is there a new development, or are you talking just about the last nine days, and this new 2 week thing. We can't even know if we're right or wrong for 2 weeks? Enough already!

Winners
How to find out how many

2 notes;

I wonder if they are going to publically want to say how many people actually "won" this contest?

Imagine how much postage you'd have to put on the SASE:

"WINNERS LIST: For a copy of the Official Rules or the Winner list (Winner list available on or about July 9, 2007), send a self-addressed, stamped envelope (residents of VT need not include return postage on rules requests) to the following address by July 23, 2007 (Please specify 'Official Rules' or 'Winners') - 'Court TV's 8 Day Mystery Challenge,' One CNN Center, NT1314F, Atlanta, Georgia 30303."

Also the theory that they'd email us a coupon may end up to be true, but this is what the rules say:

"('Winners'), subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules. Potential Winners will be notified by email on or about June 26, 2007. Potential Winners may be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and, where lawful, a publicity release within seven (7) days of date of issuance. If such documents are not returned within the specified time period, prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, potential Winner is not in compliance with these rules, or Sponsor is unable to contact potential Winner within a reasonable time period, such potential Winner will be disqualified."

(That's a lot of paper work if they do it. lol)

Place

What the heck!??? How hard is it for them to type in the web page the name of the freaking street. (I have not sworn up 'till now!!! and there have been many reasons to....)

I mean, "Zendorel website for the address where they were keeping Dad" does kindof give it away as being what we all thought - so why the big mystery still? Is THAT where Sonia is hiding out and so they're not giving it away?!! All this time put into it, and with the speed of the internet (c'mon PEOPLE, this is the millennium!!!) they can't even tell us if the last nine days of our lives are going to bring forth the Grant Burger with the cherry on top and a side of artichoke dip?

Maybe they're trying to divide 25,000 by one million and that's what'll take so long.

DAY THREE
Actually...

Well, Deep Focus continues to not disappoint. Check out the answer they give for Day 3 - "I can trust you." I believe the answer was actually - "so I can be safe."

Hey, Deep Focus - put down the Applebee's for a second so you can actually proof-read your own crap!

yes they screwed that one up I noticed lol... but who cares at this point! Rolling Eyes It was just a huge promotional for Applebees with no chance of actually winning a few thousand bucks. Sheesh! and here I thought I might get lucky and get some extra dough! Evil or Very Mad

It's not that I really care but it's just one more example how badly executed this game was from the very beginning right up to the very end.

I did play the Stranger Adventures last year and found their puzzles much more challenging and stories a lot more creative. It's no surprise they just got nominated for their 3rd Emmy.

I didn't end up winning any money but I wear my free SA t-shirt proudly.

SMH just seemed like a bad rip-off of SA.

I hope SA returns soon!

... the original puzzle for DAY 3 on the IHE site was a pictogram with 5 pictures: an eye, a can, some tea bags, a rusty piece of metal and a sheep - "I can trust you." But every time I went to the site after that - to see if it had been updated, it was "So I can be safe."

This made me suspicious that there would me additional instances of fiddling around with coding on the other pages - so I went back to the fingerprint site - and sure enough, that had been fiddled with too. (And they kept fiddling with that one yesterday.)

Don't know if this was done to cast suspicion on one of the characters - or by D-F to throw us off track. It would have made the game more intriguing, but those were the only changes. Prolly just goofups.

This was my first foray into ARG. Found this forum when there were but 4 pages on Part 1, and could tell by it's exponential growth that the prize money would be shared by so many people that it wasn't an issue.

I hope no one at D-F loses their job(s) over this. D-F is an entertainment marketing firm, so they were way out of their realm and completely underestimated the technical expertise that lurks out here in the web. Now they know, and they'll be better prepared for us next time.

This was fun - for me, anyway. Especially this Forum!

Thanks, everyone!

PS - I think Sonia stole the Suzuki, and that was her screaming and peeling out when Grant killed the kidnappers... Will there be a Part II to this game? Question

Sonia's whereabouts

Just a little note to say thank you all of you, even though I didn't participate too much I had a good laugh with your posts.

Also, I think they will come out with something like "save my assistant" for Sonia, don't y'all think?

So we can shorten it to Save My Ass? Because that's what they're all praying for.
