Reason for Kidnapping?

Ok...I gotta think about this if I want to believe that Andrew was kidapped so he wouldn't reveal that FREEVIRA is actually harmful and potentially dangerous.

I would want him shut up FOREVER so he could never tell it and never reveal that my company knew this information before people started using it...Andrew would already be 10 feet under. So, why ransom him for a reward?

Wouldn't it be just a matter of a SHORT time that people would find out that FREEVIRA doesn't work when they started getting sicker and dying?

I don't think AKARM was waiting on getting big time Research Money for Freevira...embezzle the research money...then letting Andrew go....BECAUSE....it says in the news that Freevira is slated to be released in late June 2007...(research is over right?)

I am just at the point that I am not sure that Andrew's kidnapping is related to Akarm.....am thinking hard about this....any other thoughts from anyone?

Newbie

Hi all. I've been a lurker (hence the name) for a couple of days now. I have read
all post and a big thanks to you wonderful people. If it wasn't for you guys I never would have figured out the puzzle to get into Andrews website. Thanks so very much.
Wanted to give something back so I played around with the color temps and enhancements for the white board. I'll show you what I came up with but I don't think
it's worth any clues or hints. Although I did see some numbers on it! Now if I can figure out how to post an image...hmmmmm

Couldn't do the attachment. What did I do wrong? I did everything the FAQ said to do--hmmm

Yes... that was the first place I suspected they were holding Andrew.. somewhere near the lab. My second theory was that he could be held inside the morgue at the Sachelton Funeral Home. My third theory was that he is being held in the elevator service area since the security feed seems to focus so much on the elevators and that might explain why the "doors" in this narrow corridor are not flush with the floor.

ANd I thought nobodyheard me when I brought up the elevator service area in the defunked original 'trailhead 1' thread! Thanks for bring that back up slepless

fOOTBALL, SONIA, DOORWAYS?

Someone asked where the football photo was; its on the paper's NEWS page over the ransom tape article.

Another thing that bugs me is that Sonia is mentioned on the Akarm site as having worked there one year, yet at the press conference she says the Andrew has been her "mentor for a couple of years." So either she knew Andrew before she started at Akarm or its a continuity glitch.

In the ransom video, the light on the right that most people think is a reflection looks to me like one of those dim ceiling lights that theaters have for enough light so you don't break your neck moving around while the film is showing, possibly seen through a (smoked glass?) window from a projection room or hallway. If Andrew is being held in a hallway between two projection rooms, the windows and objects seem to make a lot of sense. Windows from projection room (or a hallway connecting them) into the theater, a vent near the floor, etc. There are several links to theater in the game, more than I would expect if it were just a red herring. Also, I can't see him being kept at Akarm; there would be too much danger of the police finding or hearing him while investigating/interviewing in the building.

RE: the object on the ceiling, it looks like there are two objects up there. Also, look just above Andrew's right shoulder. Is that the edge of a doorway at the end of the room/hallway?

yeah I actually thought of it specifically because the door thresholds were so far off the ground and also because I have been in a few elevator service areas were the entrance is more of an acces port than a door way.

Oh...and I just figured out a huge connection between sonia haswell and anotheer employee at akarm.

Ok, that makes sense. Then we can pretty much assume that Andrew isn't being held at Akarm then? That the kidnappers took him to a place that the masterminds didn't know of?

(oh, and Andrew HAS to be out before 22 hours are up....if not, when Paris Hilton gets out of jail he will be forgotten in the news)
