 		Claudia's number and other trivia
Claudia's number has a Northern Virginia area code (703), which would be consistent with a lot of defence/intelligence agencies and their contractors outside of Washington D.C.

Also, the word that was revealed in the spoiler earlier yields this image when searched on Google... pretty sure .fi is Finnish...so maybe it means "Osprey" in Finnish or something? (I'm not a park ranger or anything, but I guess that bird looks like an Osprey...)

Also, if you do a WHOIS lookup on the tradecraftjournal.com site, it traces back to an NSA.1and1.com…maybe NSA = National Security Agency?

 		Ignore my comment about her being in Washington, as the bottom of the paper clearly says "McLean, VA".

On the file that shows Julian and David's pictures, it says Julian is active military. But in Claudia's letter she talks about documentation for a dishonorable (discharge, from the military is my guess).

In the voicemail from Julian, he says he has to go back to the states immediately. Sounds like he's getting set up for something.

Also, based on the "program" that they use to play his voicemail (not Quicktime, the program that shows the audio being played), it seems like somebody is monitoring his phone calls (and Ellen's as well.)

The bottom of file 6 says "e.saarinen,j.thalberg". Interesting...

 		so i just got into this arg thing and I figured I'd start with osprey since it's not quite an arg so I can get the hang of these things and b/c it just started I can be in on it from the beginning. I went to the tradecraft website and was all confused so I checked out the first spoiler and I'mm off, but how do you view the sourcecode for the tradecraft site? I might need to know this in the future. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks for bearing with me.

GPS Coordinates
So I was really trying to play with the contrast and sharpness of the logo in the upper right of the paperwork, but to no avail. It looks to me like a picture of the capitol building and "2004" at the bottom, but the 4 is hard to be sure of. The logo on the right clearly says "Office of Internal Security." But is this a government outfit? What does that seal in the upper right corner say in the top? I can't read it.

Anyway, the numbers at the bottom of the pages with audio have numbers that seem to be GPS coordinates (from where it was taken, I assume). I don't have time to play with all of them now, but here's a site for looking them up: http://boulter.com/gps/. This was probably self evident, but I wanted to post it in case people weren't familiar with the format. It's in degrees,minutes,seconds.000. 2 coordinates for N-S and E-W. Alright, later all.

One last thing. 7950 Westpark Dr, Mclean, VA doesn't exist. But the address exists next door on Jones Branch Dr., which seems to house Gannett Company, the largest newspaper company in the country, which also owns 23 tv stations, amongst other media outlets. Do they have something to do with this ARG? I can't find the company connection, but also, if you googlemap the address, the layout of the industrial park is creepy looking from above. All tri-pointed buildings. Weird.

I found a connection for that website, if you look at google maps for Claudias office at the office of internation security http://maps.google.com/maps?tab=wl you can see a large building complex which is The Galleria At Tyson

It looks like the guy who posted the answering machine message on youtube is replying to comments. He's acting like he doesn't know what's going on - and sometimes it seems like maybe he doesn't. I guess it's impossible that they would have dropped this on someone outside of the project, since there's no way of knowing what they would do with it.

So I asked him if he got the caller ID when the message was left. If he replies I'll post what he says.

I don't know if this helps, cuz I'm new to ARGs. But, I emailed the registrar listed in the WHOIS and got this back:

I'm afraid you have me at a loss.

Since you capitalized Osprey, I assume that is meant to be a proper name and is not referring to the bird of prey. Unfortunately, that's the only osprey I know of. Regarding someone named Julian Thalberg, I'm afraid I am equally in the dark. I know no one by that name.

I notice that this e-mail got to me as a forward from a project I was involved with quite some time ago, namely Tradecraft Journal. Just curious, but how did you come by that address? It was my understanding that Tradecraft Journal was shut down completely at the time that I left the project.

I see that you are affiliated with the law firm of (name withheld); is your firm perhaps doing work for the OIS? If so, I wonder if you might let me know who your vendor contact is.

Good luck in your search for Ms. Thalberg, I wish I could be of more help.
