Review of Links, etc.

Since I am new I went back to review from the beginning and visit the sites myself. I hope this isn't too confusing, but things have changed since the first post in the forum.

At the beginning of the game, someone went to www.tradecraftjournal.com. At that time, there was a black blank screen but more clues such as another website in the source code. Now it seems that the source code has been changed as I see no reference to the next website, and the Title of the page on google search has been changed to read:
tc_home(cancelled per OIS-SCI/TECH ord.79624) Also, a weird thing has been going on - the cache of the website has been changing within minutes. First I saw this: http://tinyurl.com/yq46v6 that said videos coming, then a few minutes later I saw this: http://tinyurl.com/2e6659 that now has a photo in the handheld and more spy products.

Also, the next website that was supposed to have been revealed in the code of the first website, www.tradecraftjournal.com/c/2/kalasaaksi, now has the title changed on google to read: tc_home(cancelled per OIS-SCI/TECH ord.79624) and is being redirected to another address http://www.tradecraftjournal.com/./kalasaaksi where there is no page found.

yeah palm, thats all part of the story. the OIS took down tradecraftjournal. its just part of the story. not anything freaky. so now were looking for the secodn website that has more clues like the ones in the TCJ/kalasski thing. tell me if you want a whole story.

review

I definitely think it would help alot. It needs to be something that can be updated as we get more clues and leads. I think someone talked about making a wiki? We just need to get organized and having one big reference would help keep names and transcripts of messages from getting switched around.

Ps. It helps to type messages in complete sentences, I really have a hard time following this thread. I know I'm not the only one either.

ok, now, im not trying to be mean, but everyone needs to SHUT UP... geez, i'm getting sooo mad just reading these incoherent ramblings by all of you people. i am no longer making a list of the group from people who posted their emails. IF YOU WANT TO BE IN THE GROUP, EMAIL ME: fedgerama at yahoo dot com. if you people don't stop making random accusations, we're never going to get anywhere. and where did the purloined letter come into this? i didn't go on for a single day, and theres 10 NEW PAGES! and all of them are USELESS. please, we need to get organized and SHUT UP ABOUT KMQ. do you guys know how many posts i read about kmq? kiss me quick, keep me quiet, IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. now please, all of you people who have no idea what you're doing, please don't spam this thread with "WTF? what is going on? omfg!" because i'm tired of it. read the posts and ignore the stupid ones. until i get a good group set up, NO MORE POSTS UNLESS THEY ARE IMPORTANT!
on a side note, that catchup thread would be great for the people who are just joining.

now I'm going to watch a show on tv. if there are any random messages that are of no use, I'm going to flip out.

It's crap like that we don't need to see on here. It's just a game, so there's no point in getting mad about anything. What, did you think you were uncovering some real conspiracy? Go ahead and flame me if you want, but it wont make a difference cuz I'm just PLAYING A GAME.

Edit: Oh, and besides that, I'll be out of town for the next week, so I wont even be checking the forums until I come back.

translate

i translated bolsas (which i thought was spanish) from the google map view and it turned out to be markets. then i translated carteras (which i thought was spanish too) from the kmqvisions picture and it turned out to be accounts receivable i wonder if this has anything to do with anything

That's on page 14 of the thread, and that's where all the speculation about KMQ and the Purloined Letter game in. You need to actually listen to the voice mail to understand that more clues have come in, and hence, the burst of speculation.

back to trying to be productive...

I keep thinking about the awning and the Purloined letter. I definitely think that since the guy used to work at Google, and the Google image is altered, that this is probably important. Of course, this could be to throw us off track of the obvious. But the only really obvious thing I can think of is that the Blog would have to be KMQ or something...Since it's reeeeallly obvious. Sry for speculating, I just wanted to make sure I'm on the same page here. (Mentally, not forum).

Problem with an altered image...

...is how is someone going to alter an image on Google, especially since the entire street map of Miami was taken in one long drive by (Get it? Miami, drive-by)? I don't think the difference is so much an altered image as simply a newer or updated one on one of the images. The Google image is copyright 2007, but the KMQvision page says it was last updated in 2005, or at least its catalog was. I'm not saying that the clue can't be in the difference in the images, I just don't think that the Google one is altered.

(he makes a refrence to the game production company)

go to that and it claims you mistyped something and gives you choices.
Third choice http://www.tradecraftjournal.com/c/2/kalasaaksi leads you to the next page.
That leads to http://overwatch.visualfiction.net/ov_p-c1.htm -- which is where the files are kept.

These files tell are the prelude to the story and are entitled Collateral
and are also avliable from

The story led to lots of speculation, unfortunately people seemed to miss
the context, and over analysed.

A whois lookup of the tradecraft journal website revealed the email address for a John Green, initial contact looked good, he was willing to communicate however his role in the story appears to be someone with spy like connections, and attempts to pretend to be the sort of person he was willing to talk to ended in failure, I guess the half dozen messages he recived it was easy to smell a rat.

The next big development was the posting of a new message

Alan, if you're there, pickup. Damn it. Listen ,it's me again. Things turned out okay the other night. But, now I'm really, really spooked. I was able to get another file out, but it looks like the OIS knows about Tradecraftjournal. I have no idea how they could've found out about this, but I've got to put these files someplace else now. I think you know who I am, but if you aren't sure, we were at a couple screenings together at South by Southwest in 2006. I was working for Google at the time. Alright, listen. I've created a new webjournal where I can stash this stuff and maybe we can communicate through it, but it has got to be very circumspect. I'm talking purloined letter type of stuff, right? Okay, I know you used to live in Miami near Gerry Curtis Park. If you stand on the Northwest corner of the park and look across the street, these a cheap little sundry store there, kind of yellow. Those words that you can read on the awning are the main part of the url to the new site. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I know you've investigated this kind of thing before, that's why I need your help figuring out what's going on. I've got a timeline for the datestamps on the files, but honestly I don't think I know....BEEP
