We know that Microsoft owns the block of IP addresses associated with this ARG, so I started trying different numbers for the last 2 digits. Only one other address is "activated" right but we are not allowed access yet. It gives you a completely different error message from one that you would get if you entered an invalid web address.

Try for yourself, I got this error message when we found the IP address for the countdown page before it went live.

p.s. I posted this over at B.net

that page is a standard IIS "access forbidden" page, the server is active, but there are no websites configured at that address.

I also got the same error with the ip address we found in the comic before it went live, I am assuming that it is reserved for the next clue we find.

because on the "evidence" page it has the same symbol that was given to us in the email, and the avatar used by AdjutantReflex, and from the comic on halo3.com/comic

Additionally, we believe the location of the hand painting, in Evidence at sota, to be the same as that depicted in the halo3.com/comic.

I know there was already an article on xbox360fanboy, but now IGN has picked up the story as well. A guy on the Bungie forums, crazyBoy3, was even mentioned in the article.

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/796/796753p1.html

Now get a move on Bungie!

Its not related to Halo 3, its related to the ARG that we're playing right now. Wink
While this will obviously be in the same universe as Halo and ILB, don't think in terms of connecting every single element to the Forerunners or the Covenant. Most likely we'll be ushered in to a self-contained story concerning the Adjutant Reflex and the SoA people. Always try to remember that This Is Not A Game. We "don't know" about Halo, its not a video game for us in this alternate reality, it is our actual future (that we only know a tiny bit about due to the "incident" in 2004). Look for clues that connect things within the game, or expand the scope. I know its hard, but try not to think about Halo too much, it will help remove the blinders and see the bigger picture.

You know, I was up till 4am two nights ago and scouring every little piece on info we had every way I could and almost 0 leads.

I got fed up, played a little Shadowrun and went to bed early and woke up to almost 20 new pages and more new material then you can shake a stick at.

It's going to be a busy afternoon.

I would guess that the next major update will be at 3:43 again, at least that should be the next time AR speaks at us. The waiting is killer.

That need not necessarily be true. Arkie posted a few minutes past 8am PST yesterday. Maybe it shall do the same today?

Addendum: 8.13am PST to be exact.

Stegdetect is pulling a jphide hit for the structure.jpg image on the Halo 3 site. All others I've tried are negative. It's asking for a pass.

I know a few of you ran some brute against it, but I wonder if you were using jphide/jpseek or some other app? I know steg can be really picky.

Please quote me and sound off if you've done steg work against this pic. The glyph pointed in it's direction and like I said, I'm getting a positive hit for jphide that is not present in the other pics on the site.

Ah!, I sat and refreshed the Bungie forum for the whole minute. You gave me false hope Crying or Very sad. But I forgive you, now for more waiting.

TPTB are probably scrambling to get things sorted out, since we seem to be ahead of the curve and ergo have pushed the Arkie timetable around a bit. But waiting is what we do best after all.

Ah patience.
