Image adjusted. We're being asked to look for the signs. Here's a pretty good glyph. Where else has anyone seen it?

It's not exactly the Marathon symbol, but it's close.

Possibly, but it's attached to an email with the subject, "Look for the signs, the keepers of the flame." The only sign to be seen is that glyph. It's obviously what we need to look out for or find.

I've combed through Bungie.net and found nothing overt, but Bungie is notorious for hiding images throughout former iterations of the site. Anyone that has some imaging tools, some sleuthing ability, and a whole lot of time they're willing to waste might want to have a look with an eye out for that glyph. AdjutantReflex is focuses there. It's probably a good place to start.

Well, AR keeps telling us to search for something. And this clue is given to us in the email. the glyph. I think we should try to find another instance of that glyph on Halo3.com as that is where the pic links to.
It is worth a shot.

The image links to Halo3.com where it asks for a Date Of Birth confirmation(ostensibly since this is a game with an M rating). I was wondering, did anyone try to put in the Master Chief's assumed birthday? I tried to, with a vague year(deducting 40 from 2552) with a random date and month, to no avail. If someone has anything more specific as mined from the Fall of Reach, it would be something amusing to try out.

Have any of the original "Forerunner email" recipients given the full headers a look?

Apologies if all this has been tried. I read through the posts since last I posted in case something did come up, but I have failed to see this.

As an aside, I shall be posting hypotheses from my earlier posts at the B.net forum, since as someone observed earlier, Arkie seems to respond to statements, as opposed to direct requests.

Here is a breakdown of all known Forerunner glyphs. Seems this one is unique, though it shares characteristics with the symbol used near 343 Guilty Spark.

I just scoured the Halo3.com site and did not find another instance of that glyph. And since the site is in Flash, ripping through the source code is not going to come up with much.
I think that the link to Halo3.com was just for everyone else who does not know about the ARG, and the message in the email is what is important, if that email was in fact sent to all of the xbox.com email list and not just a select few.

In reference of looking for signs... perharps it's reffering to a lunar cycle? could that be what that symbol means?

kinda reminded me on a site I ended up on after I went to 27.org which led me to here http://www.silverladder.com/index2.html which is a very suspicious site... the glyph reminded me of this image...

Wow that site is weird. But it also seems to me to be a site for another ARG if anything. Or some sadistic freaks creation. I sure hope that site is not for this ARG, as it is kind of creepy. Shocked

By that account, this is a glyph that is indicative of something located further down the hall. Since this seems to be unique as of now, it may be indicative of some sort of machine/control room previously unseen in the Haloverse.

I wonder if AR will do something today instead of just hibernate. Like point us to a website or something.
At least during I Love Bees, there was something to poke and prod into at the beginning and not having to wait around so much for the next bread crumb. Sad

First, has anyone checked the included jpeg for steganography? I checked it with stegdetect and it came up negative, but I'm new to steg detection, so someone with more expreience might want to try.

Also, does the bright spot in the upper left corner look like something is being hidden to anyone, or is it just me? There's another one on the floor in the pic in the lower right corner. Just looks very fishy.

yeah... plus the longer this goes without anywhere definite to investigate the more likely someone from that forum is gonna get themselves in trouble. no doubt there's some people annoyed allready by people accusing them of being in on this ARG.

If you also notice next to the glyph, the trim of the indent the glyph is on, the carved in craft work is darker than the rest of the craft work, and the way the shadows are being thrown in the render, that indented design should not be that dark.
It could be some kind of code strip, like that one message NASA sent into space on a satellite. (It is a vague memory, so sorry for no specifics.)

Filename?

Filename of the image: 0613Halo3_forerunner_image.jpg

Any significance? (I know it's a simple thing and most likely not, but it's worth taking a look at)
