Yes, it was established that the countdown was for the emails.

Also, ILB lurker finally signing up here. I'm gonna sniff around Desolation and see if I can't find anything.

edit: Do you think Bungie would have thought far enough ahead to put something in Derelict, from Halo? I know the email image matches Desolation exactly, but the coloring is almost exactly like Derelict's.

go to halo3.com and in reflection of the master chiefs visor is the same symbol from the email! it is twords the left of the helmet right on the black thing

Dang good eyes. I see it now clear as day though.

So it's on the wall and that "flap" reflection.

Maybe we need to figure out what is BEHIND the MC where he is standing. Also to the right side of the visor, it appears to be another ? holding a rifle, is that apparent to anyone else?

yea that symbol was not there in the origonal pics. go to the screenshot section of hhalo3.com and look at the same pic and its not there.

Well, the symbol is appearing on the reflection of one of the arms that opens up from the Ark in the Halo 3 trailer.

There's no doubt anymore that this is an ARG, shouldn't it be moved to it's own forum?

Has anyone thought of "Adjutant Reflex" being a name similar to "Guilty Spark" or "Penitent Tangent" (the monitor on Delta Halo)? AR's name isn't in the same pattern, Adjective-Noun, as the other two. Also, GS and PT relate in definitions, but maybe AR is some sort of reflection of them, a different sort of Forerunner AI.

I don't know.

maybe its a clue to go back and watch the trailer again [with the symbol showing up in the email confirming the ARG started, then showing up again on the screen shot from the trailer].

many people thought there was some cryptic code in what Cortana was saying... and it make more sense now.
